Happy Tuesday!
Do you set weekly goals? Mine this week are to be in bed by 10pm every night, get 4 workouts in (already got 1 down today), and eat more vegetables than I did last week.
What are some of your goals this week?

Alright so we have our goals. What's next? .
We pay attention to our nutrition a bit more, workout 2-3x per week for a month and we see so much progress, right? Holy moly, the weight is dropping so fast. We're putting on so much muscle. We're getting so much stronger. Wow we've reached our goal. .
Err...not quite. See the thing is, this s**t takes time. Fitness is hard. It doesn't happen in a month, or 2 or 3. It's consistent work. .
Whatever your goal is, weight loss, muscle gain, strength gain, it takes a long time. But you have to keep going. If you do it for 2 months, don't see the progress you want to see, get discouraged and then quit, who are you helping?
You've got to work. If you want this, you have to work. You have to figure out what nutrition style is best for you and your goals. You have to train. You have to stay consistent. You have to believe in yourself. .
The results will come. But you have to do the work, consistently and you have to be patient.

Why do you workout? Why did you sign up for a gym membership? Why are you hiring a trainer?
Every time I chat with a potential client I ask them to give me 3 fitness goals. Sometimes I get people who want to lose weight, who want to gain weight, add muscle or get strong. Everyone has different goals. But you have to really dig deep and find your "why". .
What is going to keep you consistent at the gym and with your nutrition? Consistency leads to progress but if you don't know why you're doing it, you will trail off. Working out isn't always fun. Some days are hard. But if you know your why, you can work past your excuses. .
Yes, sometimes life happens and we miss a few workouts but if "life" is happening every week or so, maybe it's not "life", maybe it's you. When those moments happen, when those excuses are so strong, take a second and dig deep again. Remember why you're doing it, then do it. .
I workout because I want to be strong. Because my mental health is better when I feel strong. Because I love that I have completely transformed my body and I still have so much more to accomplish. .
