Saturdays (after you all leave) are for maintenance on our steel equipment. 🧼 It’s a satisfying few hours of grime to shine.
After 10 years and a Lysol-infused pandemic, our barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells take a beating. Every once in a while we remove the oxidation and spruce up our steel for your comfort and safety. The process involves an acid free/skin safe rust removal soak, a thorough scrub and a deep oil and set of surfaces. It’s kind of gross, but worth it!
How can you help us keep our equipment rust free?
👉 Keep it dry! If you wipe down equipment with anything wet or cleaner, or if you sweat/drip sweat on steel, please wipe down THEN ensure it’s dry with a paper towel. Wet surfaces oxidize quickly and this is how to build up begins.
See you Sunday! A few fresh barbells coming right up. 🤗

Doors up ⬆️ Sun’s in. 😎 Here we go!
Spring has landed (can we actually say that with our full chest now?) Either way, we’re overdue to welcome warm weather! But first, a few reminders as we move into actual spring…for real real this time:
🌷 Please continue to ONLY wear indoor shoes for training. Wiping outdoor shoes off is no bueno. Please please please.
🌷 Bring your bike inside for safe keeping. Please ask our team where to stash your bike!
🌷 Please arrive early for every class as doors will lock when class begins. We do this for personal safety and to keep your gear safe too! Don’t get locked out - you’ve been warned.
🌷 Bring a bottle! Fill up your bottle with our filtered water if and when you need it. As the weather warms up, staying hydrated is extra important.
A little awareness goes a long way and thank YOU for being part of what makes Iron North feel different!

🚨Two spots left, folks.🚨
Not “we’ll run this again”’or “maybe later.” This is IT (sorry.)
Our 2026 Soring Reset is for the person who needs REAL accountability. Who has been showing up here and there. For the person trying to piece it together on their own and struggling to progress, find routine or commit for real, for damn once and for all.
You get classes + PT + the extras like:
✅ Personalized structure designed to fit your unique needs
✅ A plan and custom habits you’ll actually follow.

💪 NEW & LIMITED PROGRAM ALERT💪
There’s one question we get asked over and over again: “Where do I even start?”
And behind that question is usually a similar story. Training slipped, life/work got busy and everything feels a bit *too* overwhelming. Something has to give, especially in today’s economy! We’ve heard from you; that trying to piece it all back together on your own feels confusing, expensive, and honestly…exhausting.
👉 Introducing the 2026 SPRING RESET, created for this exact moment! For folks who need clarity, structure, and real support (and a little extra motivation!)
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
A 6-week, coach-led reset (start anytime before April 30) where you don’t have to guess what to do, when to do it, or if you’re doing it “right.” You’ll have a personal plan, a coach in your corner, and a training rhythm that actually fits your life. Classes, personal training, open gym, goal setting, habit tracking and personal accountability are all INCLUDED (swipe for details).
AND, getting back on track shouldn’t cost thousands or require you to figure it out alone. Enjoy hundreds of dollars in overall savings for a limited time!
🚨 Space is limited to 10 spots and on sale NOW until sell out. Hit the link in bio to claim your spot before it’s sold out!

PART 2 ➡️ In Part 1, we brought up something many people in Ottawa have been feeling this year and last: the pace and pressure of work in our town has changed.
In a city where global events often translate into real workloads, many people are carrying more cognitive load than usual. Even when the hours look the same on paper, the intensity of the workday can feel very different.
As coaches, we pay attention to those shifts because they affect how our community cares for their health.
When life becomes more demanding, the answer isn’t asking people to “push harder.” The answer is designing training environments that are intelligent, efficient, and supportive of the reality people are living in. At Iron North, that means a few things.
It means training sessions that respect people’s time and energy.
Clear structure so you don’t have to think about what to do when you arrive.
Coaching that meets people where they are on any given day.
And an environment where showing up imperfectly still counts.
For many people in this city, their work carries real responsibility. Our role is not to add pressure to that. Our role is to provide a place where people can move well, build strength, and leave a little steadier than when they walked in.
Health doesn’t exist outside of real life. Good coaching acknowledges that.
