John Rae and the crew of ShinDig from the Nepean Sailing Club won the J/24 Canada Ontario Championship at the Ashbridge's Bay Yacht Club Open Regatta in Toronto over the weekend.

Sunday saw the completion of three races in moderate winds but choppy conditions after racing was cancelled on Saturday due to severe weather.

Steve Brombach and the crew of Flying Circus, also from the Nepean Sailing Club, took second place, while Eriks Kalvins and the crew of Black Pearl II of ABYC placed third.

The youth team lead by Andrew Kenny from the Royal Canadian Yacht Club raced their boat Cluster to a fourth place finish in a fleet of 6 boats.

Only 1 point separated the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishers.
