Bonjour!

Nous débuterons une nouvelle session en janvier de deux cours que je donne dans les magnifiques studios de l’Académie de danse d’Outremont. Les détails de chaque cours se trouvent ci-bas – au plaisir de vous y voir!

Danse autour du monde
Jeudi à 18h à partir du 11 janvier 2024

Convaincus qu’une mise en forme devrait se faire en douceur ? Vous aimeriez découvrir les musiques et danses d’ailleurs dans une ambiance décontractée et entraînante ?

Ce cours est une exploration de musiques et de danses provenant entre autres de l’Amérique Latine, des Antilles, de l’Afrique et du Moyen-Orient.

De niveau plutôt débutant, les pas de danse et les mouvements au programme sont variés, mais aussi assez simples. Ils s’enchaînent ensuite dans des chorégraphies qui s’apprennent facilement, vous permettant ainsi de vous laisser aller dans les mouvements sans vous casser la tête!

Quoiqu’une expérience en danse n’est pas requise pour ce cours, celles et ceux qui en ont peuvent aussi y trouver une mise en forme agréable et faire de nouvelles découvertes.

Mouvement en musique
Vendredi à midi à partir du 12 janvier 2024

Venez vous entraîner aux rythmes de musiques venant du monde entier. Ce cours travaille l’étirement et le renforcement des muscles du corps entier avec des mouvement de yoga, de pilates et autres.

Il est parfait pour celles et ceux qui cherchent à bouger en douceur, mais aussi à se sentir revigorés par les mouvements et par une ambiance accueillante et agréable.

We have a new session starting next month for two classes I’m teaching in the beautiful studios of the Académie de danse d'Outremont! They will be taught in French, but English speakers are welcome to attend and can ask any questions they may have in English. Details on each class below - hope to see some of you there soon!

Dance Around the World (Danse autour du monde)
Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. starting January 11, 2024

You believe working out should be fun? Want to explore music and dance of other cultures in a fun and friendly environment? This class features music and dance from all over the world, including Latin America, the Carribbean, Africa and the Middle East.

And although there is a nice variety of dance moves, they are simple ones in choreographies that can be easily learned in one or two classes, so you can relax and have fun while you're moving.

So if you don’t have much dance experience and are curious about learning some moves in a relaxed environment, this is for you. BUT, if, on the other hand, you already know how to dance, I believe you also will enjoy this class as a pleasant work-out while still learning a move or two!

A mix of yoga, pilates and other moves, all to great music from around the world. A low impact, but invigorating work-out in a friendly, relaxed environment.

Dance Around the World (Danse autour du monde)
Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. starting September 21

This class is similar to zumba, with music and dances from all over the world, but with the emphasis being more on learning dance moves than just doing cardio to music.

For anyone who might be interested, I would like to extend a warm welcome to a new session of a class of mine starting this Friday, March 24th at 11:00 a.m.!

The session will be for 10 weeks altogether and will be different from the dance class I was teaching before, with some dance, but with more emphasis on stretches and other relaxing movements to music.

It will also be at a different location: Académie de Danse d'Outremont.
