Preschool Ballet classes at the Owen Sound Dance Academy!

Developed for children ages 3-4, the Preschool Ballet program introduces children to the basic concepts and technique of dance with foundations in classical ballet. These 45 minute classes also work to encourage creative movement and self expression and develop important motor skills based on an educated understanding of child development. Dancers will take the very first steps leading them to a future where they perform with confidence, create lasting bonds, participate in RAD Ballet exams, experience other dance styles, and and follow their dreams!

Dancers enrolled in our 2026-27 Session 1 will also have the opportunity to perform in this year’s production of The Nutcracker at the Roxy Theatre in Owen Sound!

SCHEDULE OPTIONS
🌸 Tuesdays 4:30-5:15pm
🌸 Saturdays 9:00-9:45am

Session 1 runs 18 weeks from September 12th-January 30th with a 2 week winter holiday in December.

OR choose the Full Year option at registration and register for September-June!

COST
The Preschool program is a discounted class at $290/session (taxes included). Other payment plans available, check the pricing breakdown in our registration package!

This exciting program introduces toddlers to foundational dance concepts as well as helping to enhance early motor development. Parent & Tot sessions are 6 weeks in length and run separately from the regular Academy schedule.

What a fabulous couple of days our competitive highland dancers had at the Fergus Scottish Festival this weekend! The dancers were incredibly supportive of each other all weekend, helping each other warm up and practice, watching their friends dance and cheering them on through the highs and lows! What a beautiful show of camaraderie from this group!

Everyone achieved their performance goals we wrote down in the intensive this week, whether it be dancing with no mistakes, fixing certain corrections, dancing without pain, feeling proud and confident, or feeling like their muscles worked hard! All of that hardware was just the icing on the cake. Very well done dancers!
