Owen Sound Roselawn Bowling Club

If it is raining at 7 pm or the greens are too wet, we will be switching to games and cards inside. You are encouraged to bring your favourite card or board games with you. Don't forget to also bring your own beverages and snacks.

Three times this season Meaford Lawn Bowling Club members have joined us at Roselawn for our Monday night jitneys. Thanks for a lot of fun and friendships.

On August 11th we hosted a pairs tournament with one novice. This tournament was sponsored by Mark and Tim Real Estate Team https://markandtim.ca Here are the winners. A special thanks to Islay Hewgill for her expert skills as the draw master, our greens team and everyone else who helped.

On Tuesday, July 28th, Elly Sparnaay and Lynn Beaton visited the Silver Cs of Owen Sound. Elly presented the history of lawn bowling and our club and Lynn talked about the current club and all it has to offer to the community. It was a great morning. The ladies were welcomed with a song that was written for their visit. What an amazing group of people. The men had a lot of questions for them. We hope this visit to their space at the Owen Sound Legion will be followed by a visit to our club where the Silver Cs can try lawn bowling first hand. The ladies also enjoyed a visit with Jim Cummins a past member of the club.

We had a fantastic night at Roselawn when members from the Meaford Lawn Bowling Club joined us for a jitney night. We are hoping they will come back again soon.
