The Newfoundland and Labrador Command of the Royal Canadian Legion is proud to announce the provincial team of athletes and staff who will represent Team NL at the 2026 Legion National Youth Track and Field Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan, from August 5β11, 2026.
Team NL features 17 talented athletes selected following outstanding performances at the 2026 Legion Provincial Track and Field Championships, held July 10β12 at the Pearlgate Track and Field Complex in Mount Pearl.
The Legion National Youth Track and Field Championships are Canada's premier championship event for athletes in the U16 and U18 divisions. This year marks the 48th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion hosting the competition, which will bring together more than 1,000 young athletes from across the country to compete for national titles and championship medals.
We congratulate all athletes and staff on their selection and wish Team NL the very best as they represent Newfoundland and Labrador on the national stage.

Congratulations to Sarah Pace on setting two new senior provincial records at the NLAA Provincial Track & Field Championships in Mount Pearl on July 4.
Sarah ran a blazing 15.07 in the 100m hurdles, and followed it up by winning the triple jump with a recordβbreaking 11.01m.
An incredible double performance β congratulations, Sarah!

Huge congratulations to Amelia Bazeley on a phenomenal performance at the NLAA AgeβClass Championships on July 4, 2026!
Amelia set a blazing 2:10.82 in the 800m, breaking both the U16 and U18 girlsβ provincial records.
An incredible achievement from one of Newfoundland & Labradorβs rising stars. Well done, Amelia β the entire track & field community is proud of you!

We have a full set of used First Place PV mats currently stored in St. Johnβs, and weβre hoping to donate them to a club or track & field program β either here in Newfoundland & Labrador or elsewhere in Canada.
They must be picked up within the next two weeks.

Memorial Track and Field Club - Speed Development Camp
For athletes born between 2008 and 2013 who want to improve their speed and athletic performance, whether for track and field or other sports! This camp will focus on acceleration, sprint mechanics, and power development. Athletes will be coached by experienced university-level track and field athletes and coaches!
