Surely it goes without saying that the Expo is not going ahead in May. We were waiting for word from the health authorities to see if we could work on a date in the Fall, but unfortunately, that is not looking likely either. We are disappointed we won't get to see all your smiling faces, but we assure you we are working on a bigger and better show for 2021! Stay safe everyone and GET OUTDOORS!

The Newfoundland Sportsman Office is moving to a new location and we don’t want to waste valuable hunting time lugging around boxes, so we’re giving away loads of old magazines.
Drop by our current location at 40 O’Leary Avenue in St. John’s and grab a few retro editions of our magazine. Get a few snaps of us back in the day when we had hair!
We’re also selling off early seasons of our DVDS for just $5!

ATTENTION MOOSE HUNTERS: We're getting reports today that some numbers on the actual licences for 2019 are not matching up with the number on their tags. Have you checked yours? We'll check with Wildlife officials on your behalf if this is a common problem across the province. UPDATE: Wildlife officials aren't aware of any problems, but they are checking into it now. If your numbers aren't matching, please let us know here

Mental illness affects every single one of us. In fact, by age 40, 50% of Canadians will have or have had a mental illness. Yet so many don’t seek the help they need, or worse, help is not available when they do. The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is dedicated to breaking down barriers and promoting mental health for all of us.
On August 10, 25 swimmers will brave the cold waters of the North Atlantic and swim across the Tickle from Portugal Cove to Bell Island in an effort to raise awareness and much needed funds for the CMHA.

Remember the amazingly talented Mr. Bill Guiney? You might also remember him doing some push-ups at the Expo to raise money and awareness for the Canadian Mental Health Association. Well he's been busy doing push-ups all over the place and this weekend he wants you to join him. Get a team together and raise a few dollars for this very important cause.
