Friendly reminder of the change in hours as we move into September;

August 31-September 10, the Clubhouse will be open from 9am-7pm (with the exception of men's and ladies' nights)

September 11-13 (Parrsboro Open weekend), Clubhouse will be open from 8am-7pm

September 14-October 1, the Clubhouse will be open from 10am-7pm (with the exception of men's and ladies' night- ending on September 14th for men's, and the 16th for the ladies)

October 2-12, Clubhouse will be open from 10am-6pm

October 13: Closed

Men’s Night Update ….

Another nice evening for men's night which saw the year's lowest score posted (-7 by team Gary Carter Jr. with Duncan Macdonald, Brandon Davis, Craig Harrison and Daniel Elkin, which included a deuce on #11). Also had a 2 on 17 posted, one of 3 rangs on the night. The field is bunching and the remaining few weeks will be exciting. Monday the 24th, we'll start registration at 5:20pm.

Men’s night update ****

Another fantastic evening at eh PGC as double rangs night packed the men's night field. Three rangs won, including a 2 on #8, first of the year. Starting August 17th, we will try to be on the course by 6pm, due to fading daylight, so registration will be available from 5:20pm.

Congratulations to Micah Walker and Tanya Dowe on their 2026 PGC Club Championship! Great scores and a wonderful turnout. Thanks to all the players and volunteers for a successful weekend.

Men's Night Update

No change at the top, but lot's of movers this week! The rain held off for another terrific evening on the course. No rangs were won, making August 10th, double rang night. Rang entry for those absent on August 3rd will be $10. Best of luck to all those competing in this weekend's Club Championship.

⛳ NOW HIRING: GREENSKEEPER / COURSE SUPERINTENDENT

Parrsboro Golf Club is seeking a dependable and experienced Greenskeeper/Course Superintendent to join our team with an anticipated start date as soon as possible following the competition.

Position details:

Approximately 25–30 hours per week
Wages based on experience and qualifications
Reports directly to the Green’s Chair.
Key responsibilities:

Complete daily maintenance of greens and surrounding areas.
Develop and carry out an effective greens-maintenance program.
Establish mowing and maintenance schedules for fairways and rough.
Coordinate and direct the work of seasonal staff and volunteers.
Perform minor maintenance on course equipment.
Train staff and volunteers in the safe operation of equipment, when required.

The ideal candidate will:

Have a strong work ethic and take pride in maintaining a quality golf course.
Work well independently and as part of a team.
Be able to organize and direct the work of others.
Be capable of performing the physical duties of the position outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Previous golf-course or grounds-maintenance experience is preferred.

Mechanical ability and the following certifications would be considered assets:

Pesticide Applicator Certification
First Aid
WHMIS
Occupational Health and Safety training

Men’s night update…

Last Monday was a stunning evening and attracted the biggest turn out of the season! Drinks on team Brewer next week, having won rangs in consecutive weeks! Almost 80 folks have come to share the Monday night experience this year so far, lots of new faces too! We have a new leader as Micah Walker takes that smooth swing to the top of the leaderboard. See you next Monday.

A reminder that the Women's and Men's Club Championships are being held August 8th & 9th.
