Hello 2025 and to the journey that just keeps on giving relevance and joy. What a wonderful way to bring the week to a close with the completion of more learning and my commitment to the Outdoor Coaching Space. Today's celebration marks another step as I am now a FTHub Certified Nature Connection Specialist. So much of this learning has already transcended like a conduit of wonder to the clients I work with both in nature and virtual as we explore metaphors, our awareness and the moments of awe. If this is the season of 'Wintering in Place & the Wolf Moon" and experiencing mindful pause, I can only imagine what the spring and new growth will show me.
2025 Here I come with intention!

Not your average Friday night. When another animal lover calls to help rescue an animal, it just feels right to help. Say what you may, yet I have spent my life respecting animals of all kinds so going out to rescue an injured crow was a treat. With all the political news, time to help nature. Called him "Hardy" as i rescued him by Hardy Falls. Its a good feeling and thats to Petra’s Pawdicures for the call to head out. I think he enjoyed the heated car seats. Don't think a crow is my spirit animal and it doesn't matter. He is alive..

2025 LET'S GO!!
But first...let's winter for a while and pause. As we each pause, reflect and sit in a place of wonder in how we inhale the Winter Solstice and how you spend the holiday season, mine is with family, friends and the comfort of readings that align with my heart as I continue to grow in awareness of my Physical Intelligence and how our bodies are a tool and inform us.

2024 continues to inspire me and my work in alignment with Nature, Well-being, mental health and leadership and I look forward to what 2025 will bring. Its such important work in a world of busy. This week I am celebrating the completion and important learning and can share that I am now a Certified Physical Intelligence Coach through the The Physical Intelligence Institute. Claire Dale, Kevin Chapman and the team were exceptional in the delivery and in supporting us through this learning journey. I look forward to embedding the application of Physical Intelligence along with my clients in areas that bring them closer to their own journeys and well-being.

A message that got deleted for who know's why.
A little Friday Musing:
Margaret J Wheatley in her book, “Turning to One Another” wrote a similar message to what I have seen lately and tells the story of a woman sharing an experience of pain and how in the circle, other women, mostly westerners, started wanting to help and make things better. The woman put her hand up to resist the help and simply stated, “I don’t need you to fix me, I just need you to listen to me”. The learning for these women was that listening to one another can be a healing process.
Something similar I have seen posted several times lately is a writing of Ernest Hemingway or an anonymous author as I can’t find evidence of who said the following: “In our darkest moments, we don’t need solutions or advice. What we yearn for is simply human connection—a quiet presence, a gentle touch. These small gestures are the anchors that hold us steady when life feels like too much.
Please don’t try to fix me. Don’t take on my pain or push away my shadows. Just sit beside me as I work through my own inner storms. Be the steady hand I can reach for as I find my way.
My pain is mine to carry, my battles mine to face. But your presence reminds me I’m not alone in this vast, sometimes frightening world. It’s a quiet reminder that I am worthy of love, even when I feel broken.
So, in those dark hours when I lose my way, will you just be here? Not as a rescuer, but as a companion. Hold my hand until the dawn arrives, helping me remember my strength.
Your silent support is the most precious gift you can give. It’s a love that helps me remember who I am, even when I forget”
For me in the complexity and challenges we face, being with each other, connecting, slowing down to notice and listening in a way that makes uniquely human can help us share stories and bring greater understanding while creating an environment for belonging. No better place to test out belonging than through the connection as a coach, supervisor, colleague, friend, parent, partner, spouse and to walk in nature, or sit with someone and witness the landscape of this planet we are blessed to call home.

Ojibway author Richard Wagamese is a gift as is his writing and verse in his book Embers. While preparing to co-facilitate and instruct learning coaches, processing world events and embracing the unknown, I opened his book Embers today and this was the page that I saw. How fitting in my search this showed up. To sit with this, ponder and see the wonder of life and in others is something we can all do. I was meant to read this today.

This past week I had the the opportunity to walk with a client and facilitate deeper insights and connections coaching in the outdoors. Through metaphors that nature offers and exploring some new learning thanks to journey I am on with The Physical Intelligence Institute, we were able to shift perspectives while exploring the inner experience this client embraced. It was a good climb to the expansive views and allowed a couple of souls to sit with the spaciousness and silence of the climb only to explore it's relevance within my clients understanding of self and the physiological factors at play with the situation. We worked through some breathwork, postural play to explore stress while using nature and wonder as the backdrop. We even picked up a few cactus on our boots which prompted one question about "what prickly or sticky about this for you?" Although we laughed, we had to be careful removing these little gems as we need to move forward in life with intention and at a cadence that is us.
Nature has been offering wisdom to billions of years and it always brings an inspirational space and clarity through movement and reflection with my clients.
Nature and the outdoors is truly my place to connect with myself, my clients and the wisdom of nature itself.
