O’Kenny River Tubing

The blue heron family that lives on our upper run have a baby every year. They regularly fly over our tubers and land right beside them in the river. They have learned that those strange creatures in red tubes aren’t a threat. This is the first picture we have seen of this year’s baby. It looks like he or she has mastered flight and is doing well.
Seeing a baby blue heron is extremely rare. Getting a picture is even more rare. Tubing the Muskrat is a great way to experience nature without disturbing the animals.

The O’Kenny River Tubing Adventure is so popular that we honestly don’t have the time to post new videos this summer. We rent out every tube we have most days. I don’t understand Facebook algorithm stuff, but we had 2 single innocent videos go viral and now we have to turn down 20 -30 people per day.
Floating down the Muskrat is a surreal experience, but you need to be patient! September, is my personal fav for a lazy float. 😊
