This week we're celebrating week and want to introduce you to Chris Jones, the Manager/Ice Technician at the Penticton Curling Club 🥌!
➡️In the wise words of Chris, "A good ice tech takes pride in their work and doesn't rush through it!". ⬅️ Chris became an ice tech in 2007 at the Slave Lake Curling Club in Alberta and enjoys hearing top competitors' opinions on his ice.
Chris believes in giving the athletes the ice for the entire duration of their game (even extra ends), regardless of the additional work for him and his team, as curlers deserve respect from him too😊.
Join us in celebrating Chris' dedication to the curling community in the comments below!

The winners of the 2025-26 PCC women’s league! These gals had a fantastic run this year, winning the A in Osoyoos and Summerland, the C in Penticton, and competing as a team in their first BC Seniors’ Provincials. Congrats!

PCC 2025-26 Mixed Curling League champs; Kevin & Kitty Freeborn, and Dean & Lynda Larson. It turned into a nail-biter when a great angle-raise by Kim Dixon in the 6th end resulted in a 5-ender that tied the game up, then the Freeborn team scored 1 in 7th, and stole 1 in the 8th to eke out the win!
