Pine Hills Golf Course celebrates 50 years in business 🥳 with a food bank fundraiser

The Chapman family would like to thank the residents of Penticton and area for their continuing support as they complete the 50 year milestone.
"Having owned and operated the Pine Hills Golf Course since opening it in the fall of 1973 we've seen visitors from all over the world enjoy the course and incredible view, but it's the local golfers that keep the lights on" says manager John Chapman. "So as a small token of appreciation we are holding a community fundraiser for the Salvation Army food bank."

This Saturday, October 14 all net proceeds from the day will be donated to the Food Bank. Enjoy a game a golf and support those less fortunate!

Teetimes remain on a walk-on basis so reservations are not required, but if a powercart is needed you can reserve one by calling 250-492-5731. Additional donations are appreciated, and monetary donations are preferred as the food bank can leverage the purchasing power of every dollar donated (tax receipts available).

Please remember; not much else matters when you are hungry!

Job Opening: Golf Proshop Attendant

Job description:

Work in a relaxed, fun environment.

Golf proshop duties including in-person and telephone customer service, green fee collection, and equipment rental. Some light outdoor maintenance duties (watering etc.)

Full time (35+ hrs/wk) or part time (21 hrs/wk) available.
Partially funded by Canada Summer Jobs Program.
Expected start: first week of July
Pay: $16.50 per hour

Covid procedures in place for staff and public safety. Clubhouse remains closed with customer service from proshop window

Our phone line is down, Telus repair is supposed to be coming today.

The proshop opens at 8am, last tee is 6pm. You don't need to book a teetime as we are a walk-on course with teetimes on a first come first served basis. Spring rates of $17.50 for adults/$14 youths/$10 children.

It's a nice quiet day for a game!
