As we approach the long weekend... I'm curious... have you registered for soccer tryouts and orientation yet? Now's the time!

Tryout and orientation information is posted on our website (https://www.pcsasoccer.com/players/tryouts/) with times to be announced for each age group soon.

Please use the links on the website to pre-register for the upcoming tryouts. Pre-registration is key for a smooth day, especially for planning to accommodate group sizes. So be sure to pre-register. Form links are also posted on the PCSA page for your convenience.

Congratulations to all the players at the festival this weekend! You all did an incredible job!

Caiden joined our squad during the off season from Kawartha Lakes Inferno. Caiden's speed, power and size has been a fantastic addition to our squad. Caiden's hard work and dedication to becoming a stronger soccer player each and every day. Caiden's energy, smile and the joy you can see on his face each time he plays is so refreshing. Caiden showed no nerves in his PCSA debut and was named our hardest working player of the match.

Malcolm joined PCSA from Kawartha Lakes Inferno during the off season. Malcolm show's a pure love for the game of soccer. He is dedicated to developing his skills, including his keen love for scoring goals. Malcolm scored our first goal of the season, and then went on to add a second goal and a primary assist in the same match. Malcolm's joy for the game, and his bond with his team mates is certainly special and a joy to see. Malcolm has been a great addition to our amazing group of boys.

Otis, in his second season playing competitive soccer has started the season with a Boom. In his first two games as the teams center midfielder, Otis has found the back of the net three times this season already. Otis is such a hard worker, and never gives up on a play! Otis is the perfect example of what hard work in games, practice and also at home working on his skills can do to impact the game. Congratulations Otis on a great start to the season!

PCSA's U12 Boys will be there! Participating in the opening walkout with the players, and some will even be supporting the game as ball boys. What an honour!

As the warmer weather approaches, there's a buzz in the air as excitement builds for returning outdoors and playing this game that we call soccer. In preparation to return to the pitch, there is an important housekeeping item that needs to be addressed, to ensure a fun and safe season.

In the past parents, players and team officials have been able to simply sign the Rowan's Law concussion form. This year, however, Ontario Soccer (DRSL) is requiring parents, players, coaches, managers and officials to complete an online course.

Once completed, you will be issued a certificate. When you take the course there will be a "drop down" bar where you will choose Peterborough City Soccer Association. This will automatically send your parent and athlete certificate to the club.

***This MUST be completed prior to May 1, 2023. ***

U13-U18 players will complete the athlete's course

U9-U12 players will complete the youth course

Parents (at least one parent per player) will complete the parent course

All the team officials will complete the coach course

Please go to the link below and complete at your earliest convenience. Again, this MUST BE COMPLETE by May 1st, 2023.

Unfortunately, if you have completed this course for another sport, it can not act as a substitute.

Celebrating the teams that participated in PCSA's first annual Futsal Tournament!

Over 75 games were played over the course of the weekend, between both gyms.

It's clear from these photos that our boys had a lot of fun!

What a great way to close out our winter indoors and see the progress our players have made. Well done!

Much thanks to our coaches and the PCSA committee members that made this possible. AND many thanks to the parents for bringing your player, with all their gear, and cheering them on!
