π₯ DRIVER SPOTLIGHT: ETHAN WATERS #317 π₯
At just 20 years old, Ethan Waters out of Brampton, Ontario is proving heβs a serious force in Briggs Senior LO206 competition. With 5 years of karting experience, Ethan brings an aggressive yet highly technical driving style, and he shines when conditions get tricky β especially in low-grip races.
π Career Highlights
β’ 3Γ TRAK Race Wins
β’ KartStars Nationals Podium
β’ 15 Career Podiums
β’ 2Γ 3rd Overall in the TRAK Championship
β’ Pole position + 4 Top-10s last season
Running the #317 Coyote, powered by a Karts & Parts tuned engine, Ethanβs consistency and race craft are what truly set him apart. One of his standout moments? Overtaking up the hill out of Turn 9 at Goodwood Kartways for his very first race win β thatβs the kind of move racers live for.
Backed by Karts & Parts with engine tuning and trackside support, Ethan continues to build momentum every time he hits the track. Huge credit as well to his crew β his father and Lon Herder β for keeping the program sharp weekend after weekend.

Here at Karts & Parts, weβre proud to recognize one of our hardest-working and most successful drivers of 2025 β Jason Rothman. If consistency, determination, and winning trophies were a driving style, Jason would already have it trademarked.
Jason, 32, from Grafton, Ontario, has spent the last six years climbing the Briggs ranks in Briggs Senior Medium and Briggs Masters, racing aboard his Awesome Kart and Coyote Kart with power from Awesome Engines. And yes β heβs still somehow too tall for every seat in the paddock and makes almost no mistakes on track. Must be nice.
π£ Career Achievements:
β’ CKNA Sr Heavy Champion β 3-time winner (2023β2025)
β’ CKNA Sr Medium Champion β 2025
β’ KartStars Masters Champion β 2022
β’ Canada Masters National Champion β 2025
β’ 13 Regional Podiums in 2025 + 1 National Podium
β’ Wins across multiple series and tracks β because why only win in one place?
Jasonβs driving style is smooth, strategic, and consistent, with the patience of a chess player β and the racecraft of someone who refuses to give up a position unless you pry it from him at corner exit.
He credits his strengths to understanding both driver and kart setup, plus support from the crew:
Lon Herder, Eric Bos, and Dave Anderson β also known as The Keep Jason Fast Committee.
When asked why he chooses Karts & Parts, Jason put it simply:
βLon and Dave have the most knowledge with the best parts when you need them. Under the tent, youβre always prepared β and always fast.β
Jason relies on us for engines, kart components, tools, accessories, and just about anything that helps him keep winningβ¦ including that front-end extension (because again β very tall).
Beyond the trophies, Jasonβs motivation comes from time spent racing with his dad, Dave Rothman, who inspired him to chase success on and off the track. His favorite moment? His first podium β with his dad there to see it.
Weβre honored to have Jason representing Karts & Parts β and we canβt wait to see what he adds to the trophy shelf next. π

π Driver Profile: Michael Ing π
Age: 18
Hometown: Stouffville, Ontario, Canada
Years in Karting: 8β¦ going on 9 (basically a veteran at this point)
Meet Michael Ing β a multiple-time champion in both KartStars and TRAK, Briggs LO206 driver, and professional pack-slicer. If you start ahead of him, donβt get comfortableβ¦ he has a habit of finding his way through traffic cleanly and without losing time.
Michael races a Coyote kart and isnβt picky about engine packages β if it bolts on and goes fast, heβll make it work. His national engine program is built by Lon Herder, giving him the reliability and performance needed to run up front.
Driving style?
Smooth. Smart. Technical.
Strengths include calculated racecraft, great feel for inputs, controlled emotions behind the wheel, and the ability to come through the field from a large deficit without making enemies along the way.
Championship Highlights:
β’ KartStars: 2022 Briggs Senior Champion, 2022 KartStars Senior Champion, 2024 Briggs Senior KartStars Champion
β’ TRAK: 2021 Briggs Jr Champion, 2022 Briggs Senior Champion, 2023 Briggs Senior Champion

Michael represents Karts & Parts and is proudly supported by Champion Motors.
Crew includes Robert Ing, Dave Anderson, and Lon Herder.
What keeps him racing?
The feeling of winning and sharing that moment with his dad and everyone under the tent.
Favorite racing memory?
Winning his first senior season against big names, friends, and stiff competition β and taking it all.
