Get ready to have some fun Fleming Phoenix! Our intramural drop-in program kicks off tonight for Frost students and we want to see YOU at the Field House.

Intramurals are open to current, full-time Fleming students and no athletic experience is necessary - just grab your Fleming friends and come out and enjoy some different sports. All equipment is provided. You just need to bring your student ID, and wear clean, indoor shoes.

Tonight is the night, Phoenix!

Think you've got what it takes to chop, saw, and compete with the national champions Phoenix loggersports teams?

Tryouts start tonight from 6 to 8 pm the Loggersports field on the Frost campus. You don't need experience to give it a shot! Come out and meet the team, learn about the events, and see what loggersports is all about.

Tryouts are open to current, full-time Fleming students and you should wear athletic clothing and bring a water bottle to the tryouts. Meet at the firepit to get started. Athletes must also complete the Student Athlete Application form prior to tryouts (link in bio). Questions? Email [email protected].

A big thank you to everyone who came out to our Basketball madness event on Friday! What a fantastic night! There was the exciting dunk and three-point shot contests, with Xavier and Christian reigning supreme. Then we had an intersquad game that gave us a chance to see the new Phoenix men's basketball team in action. All in all, a great night and we appreciate everyone who came out to support the team and purchase some delicious Krispy Kreme donuts to help raise funds for the basketball program.

Can you picture yourself on the Phoenix powerlifting team?

Tryouts for the men and women's powerlifting team take place this week, and we are looking for student-athletes who are interested in raising the bar and testing their strength.

Whether you are an experienced lifter or just looking to push yourself to become stronger, we want to see YOU at the tryouts.

Tryouts are open to current, full-time Fleming students and will take place at the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre. Tryouts for the men's team take place on September 15, and the women on September 17. All athletes should meet at the welcome desk close to the gymnasiums for 7:15 pm.

All athletes are asked to complete the Student Athlete Application form before tryouts (link in bio).

Want to compete with the champs?

The Phoenix loggersports teams are looking for their next generation of competitors and YOU could be one of them! Last season, both the Phoenix men and women's teams captured national championships. Now it's time to build the teams that will carry that Phoenix pride into a new season.

Tryouts are open to current, full-time Fleming students and will take place from September 14 to 17 from 6 to 8 pm each night at the Loggersports Field on the Frost Campus. Athletes should meet at the firepit.

No experience? No problem. Come try something new, meet the team and see if you've got what it takes! Come out and take your swing!

Rugby season is back!

The Phoenix women's rugby sevens team is kicking off the season by hosting a pre-season tournament today (Sept. 12) at the Fleming Phoenix Sports Field. Games run from 10:15 am until noon and then again from 2 to 3 pm. Admission is free and spectators are encouraged to come out and cheer on your Phoenix!

You're sure to see fast breaks, big tackles and non-stop action, so come out and get your first look at this season's Phoenix Women's Rugby Sevens team as they hit the field and get ready for the season ahead.

We're just hours away from tonight's Phoenix Basketball Madness Event. Doors open at 5 pm and this FREE event kicks off at 6 pm at the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre. Come out and watch this season's Phoenix men's basketball team take part in a dunk contest and three-point shot contest, as well as an intersquad game.

Not all of the fun takes place on the court - spectators will have a chance to win a Phoenix shirt tonight. Be sure to get your raffle ticket to enter the draw. Krispy Kreme donuts will also be for sale for $15/dozen with all proceeds going to the men's basketball program. Purchases can be made with a Fleming One Card or through the Fleming donation page. No cash purchases available.
