Congrats to Kaela for her promotion to Gokyu. She has met all her requirements to pass her test so successfully. At her early stage of starting Judo here, she had expressed the desire to compete in a tournament. She is now qualified to compete and is set to do so on June 20th at Hatash*ta Open here in Peterborough. She is training hard but with lots of smiles. Good luck Kaela!

Congrats to Nicholas(centre)for his successful promotion to Gokyu last week. He is Grade 12 student who enjoys his school, Judo class and assisting our Jr class with children. He interacts so well with other members with abandant smiles which make us all happy even in the mist of hard training. He had studied thoroughly what he was required to pass the test and beyond(he was studying already for the next rank-Yonkyu). We are all successful because we abide by the founder of Judo Dr Kano's principle(seiryokuzenyo jitakyoei精力善用自他共栄meaning our goal is mutual welfare by the best use of energy). Good luck, Nick, for your future endeavor!

Over 200 competitors gathered at the Sport and Wellness Centre in Peterborough yesterday. Congrats to the following Trent U Judo Samurais for fighting so bravely with dignity, respect and courage. From our Jr group Will & Declan. From Adult group Isacc, Holden, Nathaniel, Che and Takeo. Takeo fought in 2 divisions-U18 and Senior. He won Silver medal in both divisions while his dad Che won also Silver medal. Che brought his 3 wonderful children(Quezon, Zen and Takeo) to superb black belt and it's his turn to get it and he will. He put his children first before himself. What a wonderful dad he is. Here is the huge respect from all of us. This tournament was the Peterborough's first International Shiai ever held here. Congrats to Mr Teleki of Ninja Academy for organizing this event so successfully. Omedeto and Arigatogozaimasu御目出度う御座います。有難う御座います。Before closing I should never forget to mention Allen and Q who coached our fighters whole afternoon. Arigato!
