Sunday morning yoga ☀️



Won’t lie. I stepped on the scale this morning and I’m convinced it’s broken... I keep saying I need to just ditch it but I’m having a hard time with it. I feel like I’m doing well then I see the number has gone up even when I’m working hard so I feel like what’s the point.



This week I went back to the basics with and my girl because this is what I needed. Here’s hoping I can stay on track!

It’s been a love/hate relationship with working out lately... I was doing all the right things but the scale was still going up. Clothes weren’t fitting as well. What was wrong? So I decided to do some research on a new medication I’ve been on for over a month.... weight gain is a side effect... there we have it. Do I need the medication? I did. Am I going off it just because of the weight gain? No! But it will be nice to get back on track.



Feeling uncomfortable in my body has always been a struggle so working towards a level of comfort I’m happy with is good by me since I’m not over exercising or limiting my eating habits. I know I don’t need to cut carbs or only eat salads. I refuse to do some crazy diet or “nutrition reset” because what I do need is something is sustainable and those things are not. Keep in mind I’m no expert but I love to share my experiences in hopes to help someone else ❤️

Recently started doing some extra stretching after my workouts which has now resulted in committing to myself that I will do the full splits, front and back walkovers... let’s hope I don’t break anything 😂

Although this photo is over a year old I came across it and thought WOW! I have come so far - physically and mentally this past year because of those marks. This body has endured loss, pregnancy and birth all in the span of 1 year.



So I say - thank you for expanding me❤️

Staying on track with my workout routine and moving my body daily was one of my biggest goals during pregnancy. It’s definitely easier said than done though🤪 But I am so proud of myself for sticking with that goal throughout my pregnancy!



First trimester was rough. I was exhausted. I had multiple food aversions. I was sick to my stomach everyday. Nauseous everyday. Add in my anxiety being sky high from a recent miscarriage... But I usually found time where I felt okay to do some sort of workout. Even if it was a walk around the block.



Second trimester I was still battling some sickness but I was feeling SO much better. I shuffled through various programs and moved my body daily. Even while on vacation might I add!!



Third trimester I was home for the summer from work so I was able to workout whenever. I did my usual MM100 workout and a daily walk. This routine was solid until the day before I went into labour! Some days were harder than others to get motivated.



Staying active during pregnancy has many benefits but you should ALWAYS consult your doctor. Since I was extremely active prior to becoming pregnant it was approved for me to continue my normal routine. Of course modifying as I grew 🤣
