Media Release Wednesday, October 21.
The Peterborough Youth Indoor Soccer Club regrets to inform the public that the Spiplex sports facility has effectively severed its affiliation with the club. League officers were informed Friday evening, by the facility’s previous owners that the new owners were not taking any new bookings. The new owners have made no attempt to contact league officials.
The league would like to thank the outgoing owners of the Spiplex Sports Facility for their commitment to the league and the soccer community as a whole in Peterborough and wish them well. We remember our humble beginnings in school gymnasiums and the Spiplex facility was a wonderful gift to our area.
Looking towards the future, the PYISC has begun conversations with the new owner/operators of Hybrid Sport who have begun construction of a new multi sport complex on Chemong Road. We have prepared a Return to Play Model that will address the OSA regulations and we are in the process of editing it to amend for new facility modifications.
As we work towards finding our next home in the community, the PYISC encourages everyone to play on, play safe and play smart. We are all in this together...

New owner appears to have installed basketball courts over the artificial turf, leaving soccer, lacrosse groups out in the cold.

Peterborough Youth Indoor Soccer Club is looking into completing the OSA Return to Play Protocol. This is an important safety guide recognizing safe play under the umbrella of our current pandemic. Please bear with us. We hope to be able to announce something and begin registration for Thanksgiving.

PYISC, PCSC, and PYS are working together to help families and players in these tough times. If you email us your name and age we will be available to give away soccer balls and some swag next Wednesday night, between 6:00 and 7:00 at Eastgate Park. Parents can drive up and we will be there with the equipment we can share with the public. Thank you.
