Trade-in Update!
Wild Again will be pausing cycling clothing/footwear trade-ins on July 31. If you were planning to bring in your gently used cycling kit, you have one week to do so!

We will continue to accept other clothing, footwear, packs and camping equipment, cross-country ski equipment and outerwear as usual.

We'll re-open cycling trade-ins again next spring.

Downsizing can be tough: you want things cleared out, but your stuff deserves more (and mother nature deserves more) than dropping them on the curb on garbage day.

This is the reason Wild Again exists. You send or drop off your gear (for Wild Rock credit, yay!), and in exchange good gear stays out of the landfill and someone else gets to snag that jacket you never wear anymore for less than retail.

It was a good tent. But your family grew, you upgraded, or maybe you shifted your focus to mountain unicycling.

So you list it, photo it, price it, field seventeen lowball offers, arrange a meetup, get ghosted, relist it. Sigh.

Drop your gear off in-store or mail it in from anywhere in Canada. We'll assess it and get you Wild Rock credit in return. No strangers. Or waiting. Or drama.

“This story starts with my dad who began rock climbing in his native Wales in the late 50's. When I was a little guy he didn't really climb anymore but filled our house with books from the high mountains. I used to get up early just so I could pour over the photos of the world's best climbers in the world's most beautiful places. One thing that showed up somewhere in almost every book was a very distinctive striped sweater made by Patagonia, who I had never heard of at the time. Oh, how I wanted one of those sweaters!

Years passed, I learned to climb and spent time in the high mountains myself ...and I forgot about that sweater. Until, one day, it reappeared in one of Patagonia's "retro collections." It's no spoiler to say I snapped one up! The truth is I never wore it that much but it has a special place in my heart. So special that it deserves to be worn.

I recently brought it in to Wild Again so it can find a new home and new adventures. I even donated my trade-in credit to the Wild Rock ComPassion Project to really bring my feel-good moment to life!”

Some gear holds memories that are, well, priceless. Those early mornings dreaming of big adventures will stay with Kieran, even if he’s since donated his Patagonia Quilt Again jacket. And just maybe, that jacket will find its way into the daydreams of another little future climber.

Last month we attended the Green Economy Peterborough Leadership in Sustainability Celebration with Green Up and a crew of inspiring sustainability change-makers from around the region.

We were so honoured to take home two awards: the Catalyst Award and a Sustainability Impact Award for five years as a Green Economy Peterborough Leader.

These awards recognized businesses that share their sustainability knowledge with the wider community and have shown consistent, long-term commitment to environmental leadership.

Our goal has always been to bring sustainability to everyday actions, as individuals, community members, and in business. We keep good gear in play with Wild Again, we choose brands we can stand behind, we make operational decisions that align with our values even when those choices aren't the easiest, and we support our community through the ComPassion Project. And we're grateful to be part of a community where so many people and businesses are working toward the same goal.
