One of the best parts of buying second-hand is the stories that come with the thing you're buying.
This is Breeze, our Softgoods Manager & Buyer. She's the one who picks the clothing and footwear we carry at Wild Rock, with a sharp eye for ethical and sustainable brands (especially Canadian ones) and a pulse on where outdoor fashion's headed.
Breeze just traded in this beautiful wool overshirt by Anian, a small Vancouver brand turning post-consumer textiles into timeless pieces for men and women. She'll tell you that she loved the oversized fit, how it layers as a shirt or jacket, and how transitional it is for fall weather. But when we asked how she really felt about it, she told us she wore it through her pregnancy. Its coziness and roominess kept her warm through a whole season of becoming someone's mama.
A new overshirt is nice, but one woven through with all that love is extra special.
