FINISH 2022 ✨S T R O N G ✨
Join the Virtual Move Team this Saturday, December 31 at 9am for a FULL BODY strength & conditioning session!
You will need a mat, dumbbells & yourself to show up & MOVE!! (Warm up begins at 8:50am)
The workout is circuit style & we will be focusing on fun combinations! Some strength, some HIIT & core… but always FUN!
ALL are welcome to join! Invite your friends, your family… the more the merrier!

Back Update: Sunday, November 13

Back injuries are tough. They can impact how you move, how you walk, how you get in and out of bed, how you go to the washroom, how you live. EVERYTHING.
//
That being said, I’m staying positive, seeing daily improvement & doing my best to use the tools I have to work on mobility, so that I don’t completely lock up & go crazy! 🤪
//
What am I doing to help…
•
1. REST - no position is truly comfortable so sleep is hard & ‘just’ laying around is not so fun BUT I don’t want to push myself & slow the healing process.
•
2. MOBILITY - all things hips. I find a lot of release from doing lower body mobility. Slow windshield wipers, ROM movements, internal/external work, etc.
•
3. BREATHING - all the slow deep belly breathing, feeling massive expansion & working into the tension. This also keeps me in a calm state & a reminder that I’m okay.
•
4. LOVE - has been by my side this whole time. Although she’s confused at why we haven’t been doing our usually walks & trails, she’s a trooper to chill & move slow with me. I love her so so much!
//
I’m learning to be patient & truly listen to my body. I know if a client was in my shoes, I would say rest, get some treatment (Physio, chiro, massage, whatever the preference is), & LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!!
//
Pain is tough. It’s frustrating, challenging & can be debilitating.
My passion & offering is MOVEMENT so it’s just that much harder to feel this way. I feel like I’m letting people down when I don’t (or in this case, can’t) show up.

🍁NON-NEGOTIABLE 🍂
Non-negotiables are things that you’ve implemented into your life, that make you FEEL good, do better & help you in some way.
My non-negotiables:
//
1) Daily movement. It can be a gentle stretch or a high intensity training session, a walk or a workout, but I listen and honour my body every day for a minimum of 30 minutes.
//
2) 8 hours of quality sleep. I always joke that I’m the granny who goes to bed early. In reality that’s true, I love my early bedtimes, but my quality of sleep is a work in progress & a practice I’m developing habits towards.
//
3) Disconnect. Purposefully spend time away from screens, social media and chaos. Usually that’s finding a trail or being near water for me.
//
There are many more non-negotiables throughout my daily/weekly routines but those are my top three that I’m hyper aware & focused on!
//
Today was a disconnect/daily movement combo after what was probably one of my bests sleeps in over a month!!
So here’s to a solid, beautiful Sunday afternoon heading into rest week for the Move Team!!

🎈This little bundle of joy turns 1 years old today!!🐾
🎉I can’t believe we got you at 8 weeks old & you are already 1! 🎉
From all the daily walks, snuggles & laughs, from mini road trips & hikes, beach walks & all the crazy weirdness, ZOEY] you have brought me & everyone you meet SO much joy & happiness!
Having Zoey has taught me so much more than just puppy training or what it’s like to have a dog.
She’s my side kick (literally)
She has taught me patience (I’m naturally impatient & know it 🤣)
She has taught me that I can let the little things go (like water dripping all over the floor after she drinks her food)
She has helped me with my urge/desire to have everything perfect, tidy & clean (we have no choice with all the hair, no matter how many times I vacuum throughout the week)
And most importantly, she has taught me how to deeply love & care for a little fur babe ♥️
Zozo bear, you are so loved!!!

💆🏻♀️REST & RECOVERY✨: Day 7 Self Care
Think of rest days as a way to give back to your body. Use this time to relax & rejuvenate your body and mind in whatever way works best for you.
If you’ve been training super hard or you’re feeling fatigued, a day spent watching movies, reading a book, taking a hot bath, might be exactly what you need.
These days are typically the ‘hardest’ days for most people… Fully shutting down, slowing down & turning off (phones, computers, work, etc) isn’t always easy. Stepping away from the chaos, noise, busy, go-go-go can be so refreshing & energizing for the soul!
🙌🏼Some tips to disconnect & give yourself some care & love:
📵Turn off: Even if it’s just for 30 minutes or an hour, put your phone on airplane mode so that there are no distractions
🌿Go outside: Find a new trail or sit by the water, find a peaceful spot where you can breathe in fresh air and be in nature
😴REST: take a nap, put your feet up, soak in the bath, read a book. Do something that requires stillness.
