Today was our annual shearing day for our 2 sheep and 3 alpacas! ✂️🦙🐑 Beech, Palm, Lilac, Opal and Luna
A little lighter, a little fluffier, and definitely ready for the warmer weather ahead. ☀️
Fun fact: Alpaca fleece is naturally hypoallergenic because it contains very little lanolin, making it softer and less itchy than sheep’s wool!
As always, a huge thank you to Cheryl for orchestrating the entire event, all of our amazing staff who jumped in to help our shearer, walked everyone safely to the barn and back to their paddocks, and of course our expert Australian shearer James for keeping everyone calm and comfortable throughout the day. 🇦🇺👏

One of the best emails I’ve received!!! If this does not capture what children remember and enjoy at Earthbound kids then we are doing our job. Our orchard is more than apples growing it’s a place where children learn about growth, nutrition, farm to table and so much more. Core memories being made. Love this !!
