✨ A night to remember! ✨
Some of our OAA staff had a fantastic time attending the 55th Annual Gymnastics Ontario Awards Banquet! 🏆🤸♀️ Gymnastics Ontario
It was a wonderful evening filled with great friends, delicious dinner, celebrating the incredible achievements of athletes, coaches, and clubs across Ontario, and plenty of laughs along the way! 🥂✨
We’re so proud to be part of such an amazing gymnastics community and loved getting the chance to celebrate together! 💙🧡
Aerial Swinging Pole: The swinging pole is a derivative of the Chinese pole, with the same structure but suspended from the top by cables.
The swinging pole enables the acrobat to add dynamism and variety to the figures in the act, thanks to the movement created by the pole’s oscillation. It mergers traditional pole tricks with dynamic aerial momentum! ✨
Aerial Pole has 3 Core Physical Demands:
1️⃣ Grip Strength - Essential for holding body weight during static and sliding movements.
2️⃣ Skin and Friction - Bare skin or specialized grip aids are used depending on whether the pole is sticky rubber, polished brass, or chrome.
3️⃣ Core & Upper Body - Requires intense abdominal, shoulder and back conditioning to invert and hold rigid shapes.
