A: There is nothing more joyful than ripping around on roller skates with the coolest folks ever.

Q: How long have you been playing roller derby?
A: 2026 is my third season!

Q: Why did you join roller derby ?
A: Like a lot of people, my introduction to roller derby was through watching “Whip It”. I was instantly enamoured but never realized the sport was an option where I live! I joined LHR in our founding year and it turns out derby and the people who play it really ARE as cool as I thought!

Q: If you were a penalty what one would you be?
A: Track cut, direction, illegal procedure....
Really anything that ends in me saying
“whoopsie!” out loud.

Q: What is your favourite position to play?
A: pivot!

Q:What would you tell someone considering trying roller derby?
A: Derby has taught me how to take space and do things scared. If you’re feeling nervous, take the plunge and learn!

A: I’m stuck with Basket, not much choice.

A: You would be amazed how much you can learn in just 8 weeks of learn to skate. It’s not a ton of commitment to join an amazing group of people.
