🎨 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR PAINTING VOLUNTEERS! ❤️

We want to send a huge thank you to everyone who has already come out to help paint our new rink. The support from our members and community has been incredible, and we truly couldn’t be doing this without you!

But… we still have lots of painting left to do! We’ll be painting almost every weekend over the next couple of weeks, along with some weekday evenings.

👉 No experience needed — just come ready to help!

The volunteer painting effort has already helped save the Curling Club approximately $200,000. Even more importantly, volunteer hours are a requirement for some of our grant funding. By continuing to volunteer, you are helping us meet those requirements and keep the Curling Club eligible for future grants and funding opportunities.

Every hour, every coat of paint, and every helping hand makes a difference. 🖌️

📧 Watch for emails with upcoming painting dates, or reach out to Kyle Williams if you’d like to help.

Thank you to everyone who has already put in the time — and to everyone who is willing to lend a hand as we get closer to the finish line! 🥌❤️

🥌 THIS OR THAT! 🥌

Let’s settle a classic curling debate…

❤️ Throw Skip Rocks – You love the pressure, making the big shots, and calling the game.

👍 Lead Rocks – You’d rather set the tone, throw guards, and give your team the perfect start.

There are no wrong answers—every position is important! 😉

Vote with a reaction or tell us why in the comments! We’d love to hear what position you’d choose and why. 🥌👇

🥌 Balance is one of the most important skills in curling—and one of the easiest to improve!

Every slide, every sweep, and every shot starts with good balance. The better your balance, the more consistent your delivery, the more effective your sweeping, and the more confident you’ll feel on the ice.

The best part? You don’t need a gym or fancy equipment. Small everyday habits can make a big difference:
🦷 Stand on one leg while brushing your teeth.
🍳 Balance on one foot while waiting for the kettle or microwave.
🛒 Carry groceries in one hand and switch sides.
🚶 Take the stairs with control instead of rushing.

A few minutes a day can help build stability, strength, and confidence for the curling season ahead.

💙 Stay active this summer, and your future self will thank you when you step back on the ice!

🥌 Congratulations, Kyle! 🥌

A huge congratulations to our ice man Kyle on completing your Head Ice Technician Course! What an incredible accomplishment, and one that is so well deserved.

We also want to say a heartfelt thank you. Most people only see the finished product—a great sheet of ice—but they don’t see the hours of preparation, learning, maintenance, and hard work that go into making it happen. Your dedication to always giving our members the best ice possible is something we are incredibly grateful for.

Your passion for curling and your commitment to our club shines through in everything you do. Thank you for investing so much of your time and energy into a sport we all love. We truly appreciate you, and we can’t wait to see everything you bring back from the course this season.

Congratulations again, Kyle—and thank you for helping make our club the best it can be! 💙🥌
