Jenna Howe is genuinely afraid of needles.

The migraine was so bad, she requested the injection.

The fog lifted immediately. And if you've ever had a migraine... post-concussion related or not... you know exactly what that fog feels like. That heavy, can't-think-straight, where-did-I-go feeling.

In our latest episode of The AT & Osteo Chronicles, Dr. Silvana Jakupovic, ND walks us through perineural injection therapy and why it's becoming such an important part of migraine and post-concussion recovery for people who feel like they've tried everything.

This is one of those episodes that might actually change what you think is possible in your recovery.

Jaw always tense? Try this right now.

Press your tongue flat to the roof of your mouth and suction it up. Now try to clench your jaw without releasing the tongue.

You can't, not really. That's the tongue-jaw nervous system in action.

This is one of the foundational principles of myofunctional therapy and it's one of the most underrated tools for relieving chronic tension, reducing TMJ symptoms and supporting nervous system regulation.

Simple. Effective. And most people have not heard of it.

Try it and let us know in the comments, could you still clench your jaw?

Still exhausted no matter how much you sleep? Your breathing might be why.

Mouth breathing quietly keeps your nervous system locked in fight-or-flight. Cortisol stays high, deep sleep stays out of reach. For anyone navigating concussion recovery, this is one of the most overlooked pieces of the healing puzzle.

Myofunctional therapy works by retraining the tongue and lip muscles to restore proper breathing posture helping your body finally shift out of survival mode and into real recovery.

This is the kind of whole-body connection that too often gets missed in traditional care. We sat down with a myofunctional therapist Alicia Lewis to break it all down.
