Are you someone who wants to make a difference and help shape the future of cheerleading in BC?

BCSC is looking for volunteers to join our EDI and Scholastic committees for the 2026/27 season!

These groups bring together passionate athletes, coaches, and community members who want to contribute to the growth and development of cheerleading in BC.

🌟 EDI Committee: Creates opportunities for minority group visibility and promote inclusive practices across BC’s cheer community

🌟 Scholastic Committee: Advocates for scholastic and collegiate programs while helping build stronger pathways for student athletes

September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day.

Today, we honour residential school Survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home. The orange shirt has become a symbol of the loss of culture, language, identity, and belonging experienced by many Indigenous children in the residential school system, while also representing the strength and resilience of Indigenous communities today.

At BCSC, we are committed to listening to and learning from Indigenous voices, and to taking meaningful steps toward reconciliation in our community. Wearing orange is a way to show solidarity, honour the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, and remind us of the importance of ensuring that every child matters.

We invite you to wear orange today and throughout your practices this week as a way of honouring the past, learning in the present, and taking steps toward reconciliation together. 🧡

Are you someone with cheer or coaching experience interested in becoming a cheer judge?

BCSC and Cheer Canada are offering a full-day judges training session that can be used to fulfill your training requirements to become a certified official in Canada and prepare for your Cheer Canada Judges exam.

📅 WHEN: October 3rd, 9:30-4:30
📍 WHERE: Metro Vancouver (TBD)

We are offering both an in-person and Zoom option. We ask that you attend in person if you are able.

The course will be $20 for BC residents and $50 for Non-BC residents.

The TRU WolfPack Cheer Program is where athleticism, passion, and Pack pride come together. 📣

Based in Kamloops, BC, the WolfPack competes internationally in University Premier and University Advanced, showcasing elite stunting, tumbling, performance, and teamwork.

Our athletes are strong, driven, and committed to pushing themselves both on and off the mat. As a collegiate program within the TRU Athletic Department, our athletes have access to opportunities including scholarships, academic support, free counselling, and more.

The University of Victoria, Vikes Cheer Team is the most decorated collegiate cheerleading team in BC, with 5 Provincial Championship Titles and numerous Collegiate Grand Champion Titles. Having competed in both coed and all girl premier for the last 12 years, The Vikes have made an impact on skill, technique, and style within the Canadian realm of scholastic cheerleading. Additionally, the University of Victoria has had success at the international level, winning 1st place and the Nations Cup at the University World Cup Cheerleading Championships in 2023 amongst a deep division.

We host tryouts in both the spring and fall, and are currently looking for athletes with previous stunting or tumbling experience. Beyond experience or skill, our program prioritizes athletes with good character, positive attitudes, and a strong work ethic.

Our upcoming fall tryouts will be held on September 6th from 5-7:30pm 🌟

Join us in sending good luck to who will be representing Canada at the 2026 FISU World University Cheerleading Championships in Sweden! 🇨🇦🇸🇪

They will be competing in the Coed Premier division! You can watch them through the official live stream on fisu.tv or on YouTube weekend!
