It’s raining like crazy, but we’re not letting it put a damper on our closing night—pun very much intended.

Golf is cancelled, but for those who have tickets for tonight’s dinner, the celebration is still on!

Good golf doesn’t just happen.

Today is Thank a Golf Course Superintendent Day, and we’re giving a very well-deserved shoutout to Superintendent Jordan Barber, Assistant Superintendent William Forsyth, and the entire Greens Team who keep Saugeen looking and playing the way it does.

Early mornings, long days, unpredictable weather, tournament prep, endless mowing—and probably a few golfers wondering why the pin had to go there. 😉

There’s an incredible amount of work happening behind the scenes before most of us ever reach the first tee, and we’re lucky to have a team that takes such pride in our 27 holes.

Jordan, William + crew: thank you for keeping Saugeen green, gorgeous and ready for golf. ⛳️👏

And golfers, today’s a particularly good day to fix that ball mark. Consider it a thank-you note.

A big congratulations to junior member Wes Teeuwsen, who recorded an ace on Legacy #8 on September 5.

Wes may be humble about it, but we’re more than happy to do a little bragging on his behalf. 😉

We love hearing how much he’s been enjoying his time golfing at Saugeen—and we have a feeling this is one round he won’t soon forget.

Bill recorded an ace yesterday on Sunset #7, sending his 7 wood straight to the bottom of the cup.

Apparently you don’t need to see the green to find the cup.

On a foggy, storm-threatening Wednesday at Saugeen, Garrett Bott stepped up to Legacy #8 with a pitching wedge—and walked away with an ace.

The big storm may have passed us by, but Garrett still managed to bring a little excitement of his own.
