I’m way more impressed by this at 39 than I ever was by being skinny.

You spend years lifting weights, and people assume the biggest payoff is how you look in a swimsuit.

Meanwhile, you’re over here casually climbing out of a pool onto a ledge without using your arms.

That’s the kind of flex I care about.

The best part about building muscle isn’t having visible abs or fitting into a smaller pair of jeans. It’s moving through life with a body that feels capable.

Being able to carry yourself.
Get up off the floor with ease.
Lift your luggage into the overhead bin.
Carry all the groceries in one trip.
Keep up with your kids (or grandkids).
And yes... pull yourself out of a pool like it’s nothing.

At 39, I’m far more proud of what my body can do than what it looks like.

So if this doesn’t seem impressive, I have a challenge for you:
Go find a pool and try it.

Then come back and tell me strength training isn’t worth it. 💪🏼

People love to argue over which foods make you gain weight.

❌ Seed oils.
❌ Butter.
❌ Processed foods.
❌ Carbs.

Your body doesn’t know the difference between a calorie from olive oil and a calorie from a cookie when it comes to body weight.

That’s not to say food quality doesn’t matter, it absolutely does. Nutrient density, fiber, protein, satiety, blood sugar, gut health, and long-term health are all incredibly important.

But if we’re talking strictly about gaining or losing body fat, the biggest driver is your overall calorie intake relative to how much energy you expend over time.

Healthy foods can be very calorie-dense.
Processed foods can fit into a calorie deficit.
Both of those statements can be true at the same time.

Nutrition isn’t black and white, and that’s exactly why so many people stay confused.

💬 What nutrition myth do you wish would disappear from the internet?

Hip dips are not a flaw.

They’re not a sign you’re “out of shape.”
And they’re definitely not something that needs to be “fixed.”

Hip dips are a completely normal part of human anatomy. The shape of your pelvis, where your muscles attach, how much muscle you carry, and where your body naturally stores fat all influence how visible they are.

In fact, building your glutes doesn’t necessarily make hip dips disappear and they can actually become more noticeable. And that’s still completely normal.

Can we please stop inventing new insecurities to sell workouts, leggings, and “problem area” solutions?

Your time is far better spent getting stronger, feeling healthier, and building a body that serves you for decades. Not obsessing over the natural curves of your skeleton.

Leave your hip dips alone. They’re not the problem.

One vacation isn’t what causes women to lose their progress.

It’s the mindset that comes with it.
“I’ll start over when I get home.”
Then vacation turns into “just one more weekend.”

One indulgent meal becomes a week of takeout because the “damage is already done.”

Before you know it, it’s been six weeks since you’ve been to the gym, you’re avoiding the scale, and you’re wondering how you ended up back where you started.

The women who maintain their results year after year aren’t more disciplined than you. They don’t skip the cocktails, avoid dessert, or refuse to enjoy themselves.

They simply don’t let one week become an excuse to abandon the habits that made them feel good in the first place.

Consistency isn’t about being perfect 365 days a year. It’s about returning to your habits before one vacation becomes an entire season.

If you’re tired of the cycle of “all in” and “starting over,” it’s time for a different approach.

📩 DM “READY” to discover how 1:1 coaching can help you build habits that last long after vacation is over. 🌴💪🏼

Your digestion isn’t the problem. Your lifestyle is.

Everyone loves to blame “inflammation”, gluten, dairy, or some random food intolerance for their bloating… all while refusing to do the ONE thing that would actually give them answers: look honestly at their habits.

Most women jump straight to cutting out entire food groups without a single test, without tracking what they eat, and without paying attention to how different meals actually make them feel.

But they’ll swear their digestion is “just broken for no reason.”

Meanwhile… when we actually dig into their routine, the “mystery” of their bloating isn’t mysterious at all.

Here’s the truth: 👇🏼
Your gut isn’t gaslighting you. It’s reacting to your lifestyle.

And I promise you, the women who walk into coaching saying, “I swear I don’t know why this keeps happening”… usually discover the answer within a week once we start looking at their habits with actual clarity.

Feeling called out? Good.

Because the sooner you stop blaming dairy and start looking at yourself, the sooner your stomach will stop screaming for help. 🫶🏼

Spoiler: it’s muscle mass

Everyone thinks building muscle is about looking better.

That’s the least interesting thing about it.

Yes, you’ll probably like what you see in the mirror more. Clothes fit better. You stand taller. You feel more confident.

But that’s just the surface.

Muscle gives you the strength to carry your own groceries, lift your suitcase into the overhead bin, move furniture without waiting for help, keep up with your kids or grandkids, and continue doing all of those things decades from now.

It’s one of the most powerful tools we have for healthy aging, reducing the risk of falls and fractures, protecting against osteoporosis, improving insulin sensitivity, and preserving the independence that so many people don’t appreciate until they begin to lose it.

Then there are the changes you can’t measure.

Building muscle teaches patience in a world obsessed with quick fixes.

It teaches consistency over motivation.

It teaches you to stop shrinking yourself and start seeing your body for what it can do, not just what it looks like.

You become more confident because you’ve repeatedly done hard things. More resilient because you’ve learned progress isn’t linear. More capable because you prove to yourself, week after week, that you’re stronger than you were before.

The muscle is just the receipt.

The real transformation is the woman you become while building it.
