PoweringUP Cohort 11 is well underway 👏

The group started training on May 4, and employers have already begun identifying participants for upcoming work experiences.

With graduation approaching on July 10, participants are continuing to build hands-on skills across:
• plumbing
• electrical
• HVAC
• carpentry
• welding

Your willingness to share your knowledge, experiences, and insights into your respective trades made a meaningful impact on our participants as they continue exploring careers in the skilled trades.

A special thank you to Daniel Sutherland (Welder) from Todd & Sargent, Dean Leonardis (HVAC Technician) from Bruin's Plumbing & Heating Ltd., Jason Waterhouse (Plumber/Owner) from Waterhouse Mechanical, Matt Dubois (Floor Installer/Owner) from Red Seal Floor covering, and Jeremy Sutherland (Electrician/Owner) from Sutherland Electric.

Cohort 11 has officially begun their journey with the PoweringUP Program! With training starting Monday, we’re eager to see this group grow their skills and gain hands-on experience in the trades.

Delivered in partnership with Red Deer Polytechnic Continuing Education & Corporate Training, this 15-week program is designed to help you gain the hands-on, industry-recognized skills needed to build a lasting career.

Train across key construction trades, including:

• Carpentry
• Electrical
• Plumbing & Pipefitting
• Welding
