Disc golf, a motivated way to walk in the park, is an important thing in my life. I spend as much time looking for my discs in the bushes as I do looking at the bushes! Today I threw my very first hole in one. Woohoooo!

The snow is melting, the weather is clearing up… Sunday is shaping into a heck of a tournament day!

An experiment with glow golf solar powered lights at Red Deer’s Kentwood Disc Golf Course. Of the two designs, I like the 4-LED version. It has a metal exterior, is flat, and bright as all can be. The other design had 2 LEDs, wasn’t as bright, and was made out of “shattery” plastic. At $4 each, these are well worth it!

There will be a silent auction fundraiser at The Vic Park The Vic Park The Vic Park Classic Sponsored by Highway 2 Disc Golf to install these lights at Vic Park, Kentwood, and Eastview. For a little under $100, Red Deer will have 3 glow disc golf spots for everyone to enjoy!

This will be the summer of glow disc golf!!!

UPDATE: After a long summer of... well... very Albertan things (smoke, heat, injury, recovery, closures, openings, and a few sunburns) the ADGS is back in action. We filmed Baker Park in Calgary last week and are working on the editing. Episode 1 is scheduled to come out in January.

As the ADGS develops and expands, we are looking to have interviews from touring professionals (maybe we can twist Scott Stokely's arm for an interview someday), event coverage.... lots of ideas and plans. If you are interested in helping out, let us know.

Provincials begin filling spots tonight at 8pm. With few to no PDGA sanctioned events completed yet this season, many disc golfers are looking to provincials as the last way to recover the competitive season. Spots should sell out in a matter of minutes.
