One of the things that has plagued me most of my life is over-apologizong. I am very happy to move away from doing that. It is tiring for me and for those around me. I used to think those of us who over-apologize, did it had a perfectionist mindset. But as the years went on, I realized I felt so anxious for how people would feel towards me for the smallest of mistakes. In talking with fellow over-apologizers, there is a lot of anxiety around having needs, expressing them and understanding that doesn't make someone a burden. It's relatable, it's human, it's connectivity and it's wonderful to exist.

I have been leading outdoor bootcamps since 2012 and participating in them earlier than that. I have gone through different stages of life, health, fitness, circumstances over the years. One thing has remained constant; i never tire of the winter sunsets. The sky is magical and the effect it has on my mood is invaluable.
Plan to give your body a rest. Make time to play. Schedule breaks on your days and weeks to refocus your mind and energy. Relaxing is beneficial to increasing productivity and improving quality of life.

I am happy to be back on social media!
I have been on a modified schedule since February, while my dad was in hospice, and then I took some time to recharge after his passing in May. I am thankful to have been able to take the time to spend with him and to be kind to myself in healing. And, I am so thankful for all those who reached out with kind words and support.
Now, it is time for me to move into my new season, personally and in business!
I have my outdoor classes that focus on strength training, functional fitness, movement, and enjoying nature. They are offered Tuesday, Thursday evenings, and Saturday morning.
My online counseling is offered on a more flexible schedule to suit individual needs. The counseling is focused on managing stressors, improving quality of daily life, working through grief, loss, or other life events that can be the cause of stress. The goal is to develop skills to manage these times with as little stress as possible.

This year, I turned 50. It's funny how this journey through life has so many surprises. I used to feel that I was in my prime at different earlier stages of life. And, in some ways, yes. But in so many ways, this feels like my prime. The hard lessons, the repeated lessons, the learning and relearning, the love, the support, the andonments, the hurt, the laughter, all the people and experiences have brought me to this wonderful place in life. Where my values have finally settled within me. I look less for approval in my choices, views, and beliefs. I just accept that is who I am, and I am excited to keep encouraging my growth. I am excited for others to be who they are. At one time, for a long time, I felt so misunderstood, and I felt like I had to keep apologizing for who I was. Now, I focus on the priorities that matter to me and invest my time and effort where it feels right. I let others treat me how they're going to treat me, and I move forward from there. It's okay to let it hurt when you've been mistreated, but then it's necessary to heal.
