The 2026 Interlake Barrel Burner Day 1 Foothills Regional PRS match started off very damp. After raining most of the night and into the morning, I dawned my lucky rainpants and muck boots and left them on all day. Didn’t get much rain through the day at all, but we had a great day of shooting in overcast with minimal to no mirage.
It was a tight match but managed to hang on by one shot for the Win!
A few firsts for me this weekend:
-This was my first match shooting 6 Dasher that was chambered up by .greene.75 at M*F Accuracy Systems.
-First match using the freshly acquired 6 Dasher brass.
-First Win for me with the Hammerhead action.

5 Regional wins now in the past 11 months using the Vanquish, Stinger 5 port brake, Veloce HD Trigger and the .optics 540i DLR.
Absolutely loving this setup!

Huge thanks to MD’s Luke and Layton for a great days course of fire. They have one of the best most reliable movers that was a blast to shoot!

Celebrate The Wins!
Huge congrats to Shawn Probe on his Top Senior win at the 2026 PRS Foothills Regional Finale at Valley Precision in Manitoba.
This also secured Shawn the season ending Top Senior trophy in the PRS Foothills Regional Series for 2026. 👊
Shawn started his PRS journey a little over 12 months ago with 3zero6 Precision and has progressed quickly, beating out many shooters that have been shooting these matches for many years already.

The 2026 Pancake Lake Open presented by Dominion Outdoors was the third PRS Pro Series match for me in as many weeks.
MD’s Dawson Keen and Justin Peters put on a challenging course of fire to test some of the best shooters in Canada and the U.S.
The weather was hot again this weekend, and the wind took its time to arrive, but like most every year, it showed its teeth on this field style course. You had to have your hat strapped down, and your wind calling game spot on.
Unfortunately I made a lot of mental mistakes this match, and feel very fortunate to still finish inside the top ten again for the second week in a row.
Congrats again to Mr. Keith Baker and Nowell Greasley for putting on an impressive performance in these conditions.
It was Absolutely Awsome to have a front row seat to watch these two battle it out right till the very last shot!
My 9th place finish was good enough to bring home the Top Semi Pro Hardware, but more importantly I had a light bulb moment on the 2nd last stage of the match. I won’t relinquish what that was just yet, but I feel like great things are about to come! Can’t wait to do it again!

It’s been a busy couple weeks…
Fresh off a trip to Calgary Alberta and back from the 2026 Apex Rocky Mountain Challenge where I didn’t perform as well as I’d planned on, but still managed to finish in 13th spot out of a field of over 135 shooters that gathered from all over Canada and the USA.
Loaded some fresh ammo up and back out the door for the 9+ hour trek to Fort Pierre, South Dakota for the 2026 THS Steel Challenge PRS Pro Series match.
First Pro Series match for me with the new Hammerhead nestled into the MPA Vanquish chassis that customized for me with some Awsome Cerakote work.

Celebrate the wins of the week:
-cleaned 6 of 20 stages including the skills stage in tough wind conditions.
-only dropped one shot on 6 other stages.
-gear ran flawless the entire match.
-top 10 finish (7th place overall)

9 more hours home Sunday night and get some rest cause we are going again in 5 sleeps!

We had ourselves a day today!
Shooters From Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and even South Africa converged at the Painted Woods Range in Williston, North Dakota to join our fellow shooter and friends in the USA for the 2026 Bakken Summer Shootout. This one day, 10 Stage PRS Regional Match was put on by Md’s and .
I had a slow start, dropping 4 shots on the first stage of the day. 5 positions on 3 different tank traps to a dreaded Ram head shaped target in a stout switchy fishtailing head wind.
I rallied back and cleaned 7 of the next 9 stages only dropping one shot on a mental mistake, and one other due to wind.
Taking home the 1st place hardware is always a thrill, but this one is a beautiful piece of art and will be cherished!
Can’t thank all the boys in squad 3 enough for making a special day even more enjoyable with all the camaraderie.
My gear ran flawless again this weekend.

Had a great time and tons of fun at the 2026 Cold Bore Coyote Classic. Match Directors Trinke and Justin Peters put on a challenging course of fire for this one day Foothills Regional match. I used this match for practice and was flushing out some bugs of a new rifle/scope combo. Fought through some elevation issues, and have a clear path forward to get this system trued up.
