We love having Ian as part of our community!

Ian is so much more than just a dedicated member; he is a very important part of SIAM. Whether he is training hard or offering a helping hand to others, his kindness is felt by everyone here.

Ian's impact goes way beyond our walls though.
When he isn’t training, he is busy running his incredible light display outside of McLean to support the Mental Health Unit at Regina General.

Ian, you’re a legend in and out of the gym. Happy Birthday!

2025 - you were something else.
You tested us, shaped us, strengthened us, and reminded us why we show up. To support your growth, celebrate your wins, and hold space for the moments that change us. But most of all… for each other.

To our current SIAM members: Thank You...
for growing with us, bringing the energy, the sweat, the grit, and the real-deal commitment to becoming better, stronger, braver versions of yourselves. You are the heartbeat of this gym.

To our past members:
Once SIAM, always SIAM. Every round you fought through, every ounce of resilience you built, still lives in these walls (and in you). We miss you, we celebrate you, and we are cheering for wherever life has taken you. You are forever part of the story.

To our future members:
We are ready for you. The confidence, the community, the breakthroughs, the workouts that calm the chaos, and the moments that make you think, “I didn’t know I had that in me.” They are all waiting. And so are your gloves 😊

2026 is calling
Not just for stronger kicks and faster jabs but for deeper connection, bigger confidence, more inclusivity, more hype, more growth, more "Hell Yes I Belong Here!" energy.

So let’s do this together:
Leave us a comment with:
1 word that describes your 2025
1 word that describes the energy you are claiming for 2026
❤️ Then tag someone who needs Siam in their life next year.

We don’t just train here.
We rise here.
We heal here.
We become the strongest version of ourselves here — together.
Thank you for 2025. Let’s make 2026 unforgettable.

We are crushed and have been without words to describe how we have felt these past few days since hearing of Adrienne’s journey from this world.

We first met Adrienne when she joined our classes at Siam. She was enthusiastic, fun, and just so gracious and kind. In those early days, we never would have imagined that she would transform from a teacher and musician into one of our most dedicated students. She became a talented athlete and a fierce member of our fight team and a huge part of what we called our Siam family. One of many favorite memories was having Adrienne join us on a training trip to Thailand as she brought so much fun being so enthusiastic, dedicated to her training, adventurous, and always laughing.

Seeing pictures now of Adrienne laughing, we can still hear that infectious, wonderful laughter. She was incredibly easy to be around and so authentically kind. She had a way of boosting everyone around her, and to be in her presence, you couldn’t help but feel good. She inspired so many to laugh, to embrace life, to be kind, and to follow their dreams no matter the obstacles in front of them. And having had that personality larger than life, she will continue to inspire.

To know her was to love her.

Adrienne wasn’t just loved in our combat sports community her kindness and fire made her deeply loved across the music community as well. Her bandmates and brothers from Kelevra, her students and fellow teachers, her family and friends and truly everyone who crossed her path carry stories of her warmth, her talent, her humour, and her beautiful soul.

She gave so much to the world and left it better than she found it.

To know her was to love her.

Adrienne's own words about medical challenges say so much about who she was and how she chose to live:

“I spent a year and a half training my body in preparation for the day I may get a call for a heart transplant. I needed to be ready for another battle. I needed it to not be all in vain….”

And in saying goodbye to many things she loved in life, she still offered such a thoughtful and positive perspective:

“Yet these self-indulgent and woeful goodbyes all pale in comparison to what I have gained. Strange how this tiny machine inside of me would teach me the most valuable lesson anyone can learn: all we have in this world is the love we give and the love we receive. Every other certainty we cling to of importance is an illusion.
I want people to know that I am not limited by my medical story. It is an important part of my journey, but I don’t want to be defined by these narrow parameters. I want to live life to the fullest and take my donor’s heart with me on this beautiful and joy-fuelled ride, honouring their legacy in every action.”

Adrienne, you could never be defined by your medical story. You were always so much more than what you went through. You embodied such an authentic spirit of love and joy through an incredibly tough journey. You will live on in our memories, in our hearts, and in the way you continue to inspire us to live fully, love deeply, and be kind.

For anyone wanting to read her beautiful article in her own words, I’ve shared the link in the comments.

There is a certain look people get training... focused, locked-in, fully present.
That’s the magic of Muay Thai & Boxing: once you are in the zone, there is no room for stress or overthinking and everything outside training just fades away.

This type of training pulls you straight into the present moment. No to do lists, no distractions, no thinking about emails, errands, or worrying about life.
Just breath, movement, the rhythm of the thai pads, and being fully in the body.

A reset for the mind and a different kind of meditation... the kind you feel in your body long after class is over.

Reminder we are closed today for Remembrance Day, November 11, as we pause to honour and remember those who served.

Bobby brought some serious bone-crushing energy to Heavybag class tonight! 💀 Nothing spooky about the combos just hard work, great energy, and lots of laughs. We train hard, and we have fun doing it!

Every layer of your handwraps tell a story. Stories of grit, discipline, growth, and the courage to keep showing up. Stories also of laughter, connection, community.

Before the first punch is thrown, the first drop of sweat falls, there is a quiet moment of meditative focus. Each turn of the wrap is a reminder of why you are here. To step into your strength. push your limits, build confidence, and discover what you’re capable of. To release stress, to have fun, to connect.

Whether you train for the love of the art, to discover your strength, to release stress, or for the thrill of competition, this ritual is the same. The wraps protect the hands, but also anchor the mind and prepare you for the work, the sweat, and the small victories that add up to stepping into your power of something bigger.

At SIAM, the real fight isn’t just in the ring... The real fight is in showing up, giving your best, and growing stronger every day.

After class, the air feels different.

The bags sway with stories of grit, growth, and healing.
The energy is quiet, grounded and real.

This space has seen it all sweat, determination, and dreams in progress.
Strength being built one round at a time.

For some, it’s training.
For others, it’s therapy.

Every drop of sweat left behind means someone showed up.... this is where strength begins.

Thank you to everyone who shows up, even when showing up is the hardest thing to do.
Thank you for being the community that inspires and uplifts each other and us every day.
