Ringette Alberta is happy to announce that the St Albert Ringette Association
has been selected to host the 2019 Western Canadian Championships
March 28-31, 2019.

The WCRCs give the opportunity for each Western Canadian Provincial Championship team, at the U14AA, U16A, U19A and Open (18+) A levels, to compete at a National level.

Canadian Ringette Championships 2018

“...the U16 and U19 nationals were opened up in 2012 to more than just provincial champs, with an eye on long-term athlete development. Some teams lose the provincial title by a goal and miss out on valuable, high-level competition at nationals. Now, every team is eligible for another taste of intense competition...”

Great move, considering 3 of the top 4 in U16 and 2 of the top 4 in U19 were not provincial champions this year. Those teams deserved another chance to compete!
