This weekend.

Looking forward to training and sharing at the Summer Training Festival in Kingston.

Back from training and teaching south of the border. Had a blast training with Tadashi Yamash*ta Sensei in Shorin Ryu and Suikendo. At 85 years old, he embodies our goal of lifelong martial arts training. More importantly, we have to practice what we preach - training, training and more training.

Followed up with a visit to Midland Martial Arts Academy where I worked with an enthusiastic group of students on some Kitsune Ryu weapons work.

Saturday Tai Chi at Mill Pond supporting the amazing Rose with BeamOn; an organization providing Reiki blankets for people navigating the journey of cancer. A great day, great weather and fun!

Many thanks to all of the students who helped us demonstrate today at the Best Buddies Friendship walk at the Richmond Green Park.

Elements were braved, jujutsu and karate were demonstrated and the OxiClean guy will get a workout this week.

Everyone did very well and represented the Dojo well - helping us continue an almost 53 year tradition of supporting the Richmond Hill community.

Well done!

Come check us out at the Best Buddies Walk! A friendship walk with all our friends! Sensei Doug will give an interactive demonstration at 11, then take a stroll and catch Mrs. Sensei at our booth. Have an amazing weekend!

And on Victoria Day Monday, Karate class happened as usual.

The Budokan is excited to part of this years WALK FOR BEAM ON. This amazing charity hosted by one of our own Rose Weinberg; supports individuals and families going through cancer.
Join us for the walk, support this amazing charity and take in a little nature.

On Saturday, we held a Spring Training session at the dojo. Additionally, this served as Dan testing for Al McIntosh Sensei.

Sessions were presented by Al, my father and myself for all in attendance and our guests from Tanren Karate Dojo.

Very pleased with everyone’s efforts and grateful to the attendees for their generous donation to the Richmond Hill Food Bank.
