Duncan is a 16 year old 17.1 shire/warmblood cross. He is a gentle giant and always takes perfect care of whoever is on his back. His favourite treat is black liquorice. He has taught dozens of kids how to vault and he has competed at the 3* level all across North America for Canadian and American vaulters. He was one of the top performing Canadian horses at the World Equestrian Games and earned 11th in the pas de deux division. He now enjoys his semi retirement at WCE.

Meet Latif:
Latif is a 15 year old 15.3 Andalusian Hanoverian cross. He competed in the jumpers when he was younger, but now enjoys a more relaxed life doing dressage. He loves kids and making friends with anyone he meets.

Yvonne’s Zen Garden isn’t a small tray of sand with a mini-rake. It’s the indoor arena and the tractor with a harrow. 💕💕💕

Meet Rio (show name is For Real). He’s an 11 year old warmblood and has been part of WCE for 5 months now. Rio is the epitome of an athlete. He’s poetry in motion. And he’s the sweetest guy ever. In his former life he was a jumper but now transitioning to being a Medal horse, with some hunters thrown in the mix. I’ll add a couple of pics of this loveable guy later today.

I have never seen fireworks go off near the barn. The horses weren’t phased. Rio got his Gastrogard when they went off.

The barn tonight. Just happened to notice it after I unhitched the trailer. Isn’t it spectacular!?

Meet Daiah. She’s an 8 yr old Canadian Warmblood that has been part of the Van Elliot clan for 4 years now. She’s a well rounded mare that does well in all rings. Her trot is magical. She’s super brave to the fences. She hates coyotes... and water sprinklers. She loves strawberries and getting her udder rubbed. Yes, she’s a bit of a weirdo, but we love her for who she is. She’s headed to the jumper ring next year. Can’t wait

Let’s introduce the horses we currently have at WCE. First, the pony whose profile is the centre of our logo: Just Peachy aka Peach, P, Queen Bee, Red Rocket. Peach has been part of our family for 6 years now. And today is her birthday! She’s 18 years old now. Peach is the ruler of the barn. Before retiring this summer, she had extremely successful career in the jumper ring, she’s been a successful hunter and event horse as well. She is very spicy but always takes care of her rider. We love her to bits and she’s going to be with us forever!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEACHES!!!

Get to know the place a bit. We spend a lot of time making sure that it's in top shape and looking good. The horses have a great life here with lots of time outside and in small groups (personalities permitting).
