It was a wet and chilly day, but our RWRC group was comfortable and cozy as we met the adorable bunnies currently living at @cozy_carrots! Located on Minoru Blvd, Cozy Carrots cafe is a great place to visit - you will have a chance to spend time with some lovely bunnies, feed them some greens, and relax and enjoy cuddly bunny company! All while supporting @ @rabbitatsrescue Rabbitats rescue - a Richmond-based non-profit dedicated to helping dumped and abandoned bunnies in our community. Cozy Carrots works in partnership with @rabbitatsrescue Rabbitats Rescue - in fact, all the wonderful deserving bunnies at the cafe were rescued by Rabbitats. We loved spending time with the bunnies today - and look forward to another visit again soon! Happy Birthday Marielle! We are so fortunate at RWRC to have one of the organization’s founders - Marielle Demorest - still actively serving and contributing to our Board and community! Marielle co-founded RWRC 50 years ago - and remains enthusiastically working with RWRC to support best outcomes for women in Richmond. Marielle’s accomplishments are extensive - she has been awarded not one, but two Governor General awards for community service. She remains positive, joyful and enthusiastic about RWRC and is a wonderful, kind and valued support to all of us. Some of our Board members and staff were able to celebrate Marielle’s 50 year milestone at our recent International Women’s Day celebration. And today is her birthday - she doesn’t mind that we share - 92 years young today! Volunteering and staying active is something Marielle feels has helped to keep her in good health! Thank you Marielle - Happy Birthday and many happy returns! At RWRC, we are animal lovers - and are always particularly glad to support other groups that are helping animals in need in our community. As you can see, our Board Co-Chair Jenny is all “hopped up” and ready to visit “Cozy Carrots” @cozy_carrots bunny cafe next week and learn more about rabbit rescue in Richmond. All the wonderful bunnies at Cozy Carrots 🥕 come from @rabbitatsrescue Rabbitats rescue - a Richmond based rescue doing the good work to help rabbits in need in our community and educate the public about how wonderful rabbits are - and that they don’t belong out on the streets. RWRC has a group visit planned to @cozy_carrots next Wednesday April 1 from 1-2 pm - to spend time with some bunnies and learn more about bunnies in Richmond and how we can help. We can’t wait! Catching up! We didn’t just celebrate St Patrick’s day with watercolour painting, we also had a fun St Patrick’s Day yoga class! Thanks to wonderful teacher @lindali968 Linda Li for leading our dedicated yogis through the class (and keeping an eye on “Patrick the Bear” 🐻☘️) - to make sure his yoga form was looking good too! 👍🏻 Hoping to organize a “Spring Yoga” 🧘‍♀️🌸 series to start soon - stay tuned! #yoga #yogaforhealth #yogacommunity #yogateacher #greatteacher 03/24/2026

Thank you Ellen & @kimphysio! Definitely easier to keep up healthy habits with good support and the encouragement of friends! Time flies so fast!
