It's a pretty great feeling when you're able to help someone select the 'right for me' next board. Especially for someone with Chris's pedigree.

Chris has been surfing and paddle surfing for 40+ years and knows a thing or two about surfing, boards, waves and movingwater underfoot. He'd never owned a Sunova before and was very content with another brand, but was always curious how the Sunova's felt and surfed.

He's been demo'ing a couple different Sunova Surfboards recently but narrowed it down to this one, the casey Flow 9'0" 141 lt. This board most resembles what he likes in terms of shape and size.

Today he wanted to give it another go and I captured him on his way into the water. I paddled out as well and after a number of waves I heard him suddenly and loudly pronounce, "Sold!"

There hasn't been much in the way of bigger swell lately, so the 9'5" Sunova The One has been a great choice. With some bigger swell finally arriving yesterday the slippery and sexy 9'0 casey Flow in red opague tint was a great steed to carve up some waves on. It’s been a solid couple of weeks of good surf on the west coast. Out with a couple buddies and this time on the 9.0 Casey Flow 141l. Step down deck with a little more float, very stable, easy entry into the wave, fast down the line and turns on a dime. Fun session. Sunrise session with the .sup SP25. I love this board, stable for it’s size, fast with the quad set up and turns on a dime. With the recent snowfall out west here, winter is around the corner as is the return of storm surf.

Reflections on a great Trip!

Reflecting back on another great trip through the Broughton Archipelago at the end of June. No two trips or experiences are the same here. We were blessed again with great weather to explore outer islands in fog and to spend intimate moments observing wildlife in their natural habitat. Great times, great people and great paddling. I enjoy heading out for an early paddle before the crowd show up and I usually get the lake to myself. Some times I meet cool people, like this day, I met a visiting photographer who took this amazing shot of me!
