Meet the Mayfair Pros!

Meet Bailey Lam, PGA of Canada Apprentice Professional.

Bailey grew up in Richmond and has been part of the Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club community for over 10 years. Surrounded by the course from a young age, he learned from some of the best instructors Mayfair has to offer, experiences that have shaped him into the golfer and coach he is today.

This early exposure fostered a passion for the game that inspired Bailey to dedicate his career to the golf industry.

Bailey believes that enjoying what you do is one of the most important values in life. He brings this philosophy to golf, creating a fun and engaging learning environment that helps students develop a lasting love for the game. Having experienced both the highs and lows of golf, Bailey understands that passion and enjoyment are essential for overcoming challenges and growing as a golfer.

Eagle Update!

Back in July, our team responded to a call about an injured eagle on Hole 17. We immediately reached out to the amazing team at OWL Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society for help.

The wonderful people at OWL took the eagle into their care and spent the past three months rehabilitating him and preparing him for his return to the wild.

On October 10th, our staff had the pleasure of releasing this beautiful animal back into the wild. We’re hoping he’ll reunite with his mate before heading north for the salmon run.

A huge thank you to OWL for everything they did to give this eagle a second chance. We were honoured to be part of his journey home.

COURSE IMPROVEMENT UPDATE.

Beginning October 13, Mayfair Lakes will undertake an important renovation of Hole 1. The project will replace a failing culvert and improve the approach to the green by introducing additional grassed landing areas and reducing the size of the greenside bunkers. These changes will make the approach less penalizing on this longer par 4, creating a more balanced, playable and enjoyable opening hole.

During construction, Holes 1–5 will be closed to safely accommodate equipment, materials and access to the work area. Mayfair Lakes will operate as a 13-hole course, with play beginning on Hole 10 and finishing on Holes 6–9. A reduced green fee of $59 will be available throughout the construction period.

Construction is expected to continue through approximately the end of November, weather and site conditions permitting. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we complete these important improvements!
