The beginning of the end...
24 Years ago the Chamber of Commerce Serving Clayton, Cloverdale & Campbell Heights, Cloverdale BIA + Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade got together with the Fraser Downs horse racing community to lobby for a new casino that would include slots with a revenue sharing program for the horses. The new casino opened in 2004.

Woodbine joins the racing community in mourning the passing of legendary Canadian jockey, Ron Turcotte, who won the U.S. Triple Crown aboard Secretariat, and was our leading jockey in 1962 and 1963, among countless other accomplishments.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans across the world.
