We are one of Canada's most famous traditional Karate dojos. Classes available for kids, teens, and adults of all skill levels. Founded in 1973 by Mr.

Steveston Karate Club is one of Canada's oldest and most well-established schools of traditional Karate. Takeshi Uchiage, the club has produced numerous champions at the provincial, national, and international level. Congratulations to Haruki Mori for his amazing performance at the 2026 U21 & Senior National Championships in Halifax, bringing home a 🥇GOLD MEDAL in the Senior Men’s Kata and a 🥉BRONZE MEDAL in the U21 Male Kata!!

Next stop for Haruki is the Pan American Karate Championships in Rio de Janeiro, representing Canada 🇨🇦

The Steveston Community Society provides an annual scholarship to each of our two catchment high schools – Steveston-London and R.A. McMath – to support a graduate who intends to pursue a post-secondary education in the field of recreation or similar program, and who best exemplifies the “Spirit of Steveston” by having a well-rounded record of service to the community.
