It was a very proud moment in my jiu-jitsu career to be able to award Jon his black belt. It was just as amazing to be the guy to promote him to first degree on Thursday! Congratulations buddy it’s great to see your hard work and dedication hasn’t faded a bit over the years.🙌🏻

This is one I really wish I could’ve made but unfortunately duty called elsewhere. has been a huge source of knowledge and inspiration for me over the years. I really hope we can do this again so I can be there. Also, what an awesome turnout! Thanks to those who came out to support 👊🏼

Winning:🥇

Winning a Jiu-Jitsu tournament can be an incredible feeling, and the hard work and dedication that went into training for the competition can make the victory all the more satisfying. Winning a tournament can provide a sense of validation and accomplishment, and can help build confidence for future competitions.
However, it's important to keep in mind that winning isn't everything. Success in Jiu-Jitsu is a journey, and each victory should be seen as a step toward further growth and improvement.

Losing: 🧠

Losing in a Jiu-Jitsu tournament can be a difficult experience, particularly for those who have put in a lot of time and effort preparing for the competition.
However, it's important to remember that losing is a natural part of the process and that even the most successful competitors have experienced their fair share of setbacks. Losing can be an opportunity to learn and grow, and to identify areas for improvement in future training. It's important to focus on the positive aspects of the experience, such as the opportunity to test one's skills against other competitors and to gain valuable experience in a high-pressure environment.
Ultimately, whether winning or losing, it's important to maintain a positive attitude and to stay focused on the larger goals of growth and improvement in Jiu Jitsu.
With the right mindset and approach, Jiu-Jitsu tournaments can be incredibly rewarding experiences, regardless of the final outcome.
