Hi everyone,

Please be advised that all Judo classes scheduled for tonight, May 12th, at the Steveston Judo Club are cancelled.

We have just been informed that a planned power outage in the area is extending unexpectedly beyond its scheduled time. As a result, we have been requested to cancel all sessions for the evening to ensure everyone's safety and because the facility remains without power.

We sincerely apologize for the extremely late notice and any inconvenience this may cause your evening plans.

We expect to be back on the mats for our next scheduled session. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you to all who came out to the Year End Judo Banquet last night! As we wrap up another amazing season at the Steveston Judo club, we want to thank every athlete, parent, coach, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this year so special.

Our year end banquet is a celebration of more than just achievements and hard work on the mat, it’s a celebration of the people who make this club what it is. Every member of our judo family is valued, appreciated, and important. We truly wouldn’t be the club we are without each and every one of you. Congratulations to the those who won awards last night! Hope everyone enjoyed each other’s company and pizza!

Although we have had our year end banquet, our classes are still running a little longer. Please check the calendar on our website or ask your class instructor/sensei/coach about the last day of judo class.

We will have summer judo classes starting up too!

Great efforts from our young athletes to the competed yesterday at the Sea Otter House Friendly Shiai in New Westminster! A first shiai for many of them! Pictured is Mackenzie (with sensei/coach Tavis) who performed AMAZING and finished in 1st place- with her new yellow belt! 🥇
