We are excited to welcome Francis Brière to the Clarence-Rockland Crush family as our U16 Head Coach for the 2026–2027 season! We look forward to an exciting season ahead and are thrilled to have Francis leading our U16 team.

Message from Francis :

My name is Francis Brière, and I am excited to be coaching U16 Crush hockey team. I have been coaching minor hockey for the past 16 years and have spent 21 years as a teacher. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping young people develop both on and off the ice.

As a coach, my focus will be on developing strong decision-making skills, discipline, and hockey fundamentals. I believe that success comes from making smart choices, working hard while at the rink, and continually improving as players and teammates.

Most importantly, I am committed to creating a safe, respectful, and positive environment where every player feels valued and supported. When players trust each other, respect the game, and give their best effort, success will naturally follow. I look forward to working with each of you and helping our kids grow as hockey players and as young leaders.

Je m’appelle Francis Brière et je suis heureux d’être l’entraîneur de l’équipe U16 Crush cette saison. Je coach l’hockey mineur depuis 16 ans et je travaille dans l’éducation comme enseignant depuis 21 ans. Tout au long de ma carrière, j’ai eu comme passion d’aider les jeunes à se développer, autant sur la glace qu’à l’extérieur de l’aréna.

Comme entraîneur, je mettrai l’accent sur le développement de la prise de décision, de la discipline et des habiletés fondamentales au hockey. Je crois que le succès repose sur des choix intelligents, une éthique de travail soutenue à l’aréna et un désir constant de s’améliorer comme joueur et comme coéquipier.

Plus important encore, je m’engage à créer un environnement sécuritaire, respectueux et positif où chaque joueur se sent valorisé et soutenu. Lorsque les joueurs se font confiance, respectent le jeu et donnent leur maximum, le succès suit naturellement.
J’ai hâte de travailler avec chacun d’entre vous et d’aider nos jeunes à grandir, non seulement comme joueurs de hockey, mais aussi comme jeunes leaders.

📢 U16 TRYOUT ANNOUNCEMENT

For any U16 players coming from Ice Dogs who would like to attend Clarence-Rockland Crush tryouts, we would like to offer you the early-bird tryout pricing if you were already registered with Ice Dogs.

Ice Dogs have provided us with the list of players who were registered with them, so we will be able to verify eligibility for this special pricing.

🏒 Register with Crush after August 26:
Tryout fee: $315

⚠️ IMPORTANT:
All U16 players, whether previously registered with Ice Dogs or Crush, must be registered with Crush before August 28 in order to participate in the U16 tryouts.

This special $275 pricing applies only to U16 players who were registered with Ice Dogs and are now wishing to try out for Crush.

* 🚪 Door Volunteers during intersquad & exhibition games
* 👥 Dressing Room Supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Volunteers 18 years and older:
Must have the required qualifications and a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).

Volunteers under 18 years old:
No qualifications or VSC required.

New Clarence-Rockland Crush Jerseys Announcement

We are excited to announce our new Clarence-Rockland Crush jerseys for the upcoming season!

After carefully reviewing multiple quotes and considering the advantages and disadvantages of each option, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to partner with Amplify as our official jersey supplier. We want to thank all the other companies that send us quotes.

Beginning this season, players will purchase and keep their jerseys and socks during the scheduled Apparel & Fitting Day, that will be held once tryouts are finalized.

The association plans to use this jersey design for the foreseeable future. This means that if your player’s jersey and socks still fit in future seasons, there will be no need to purchase a new set every year, helping families save money while maintaining a consistent look across the association.

We look forward to seeing all of our players proudly wearing the new Clarence-Rockland Crush jerseys this season!

Exhibition game dates will be added shortly, so stay tuned for those updates.

Please note: This schedule is subject to change. Additional sessions may be added, and existing sessions may be adjusted as needed. We encourage all families to check the website regularly to ensure they have the most up-to-date information.

Please also note that some sessions are designated as Players Only or Goalies Only. Any session that is not specifically identified as one of these requires the participation of both players and goalies.

We are excited to announce and congratulate the Head Coaches selected for the upcoming 2026-2027 season! Thank you to everyone who took the time to apply and interview. We had an incredible group of qualified and dedicated candidates, which made the selection process a difficult one.

You will notice that at certain levels, an Assistant Coach has also been selected. This season, due to the significantly large pool of applicants and the number of highly qualified candidates, the board decided to expand the coaching staff at those levels by appointing Assistant Coaches to help support our teams, athletes, and coaching staff.

Congratulations to all of our selected coaches! We appreciate your commitment and look forward to an amazing 2026-2027 season ahead. 🏒👏
