That’s a wrap, mamas!

So proud of these women! They show up every class, work HARD and always bring the best attitudes. Such a fun group to coach.

Shout out the Nordegg Ninjas! 🥷

These ladies travel an hour to come train with us.

They are tougher than most twenty year olds and definitely more consistent!

Thank you ladies. 👊

We finally bought our gym.

It feels a little strange even writing that.

Arbeau Muay Thai started during COVID in a double car garage in Calgary. At the time I really had no idea what it would eventually turn into.

A few years ago we had a conversation about family, community, raising kids and where we wanted to put down roots. We wanted somewhere our kids could grow up with a little space, where we could grow some of our own food, raise animals, know our neighbours and hopefully contribute something positive to the community around us.

Rocky Mountain House felt like that place.

So we moved out here, started our little farm in Clearwater County and took a chance on opening Arbeau Muay Thai in Rocky.

This community has been unbelievably supportive of us from the beginning. People trusted us with their kids, walked through our doors having never thrown a punch before, competed for us, recommended us to friends and helped turn this place into something that feels like a lot more than just a Muay Thai gym.

And now we can officially say the building is ours.

There are a lot of people who helped us get here, but I especially want to thank Travis and Barb Chahley for everything they’ve done for us along the way, and my dad, Pete Arbeau, for always being there when we needed him.

And thank you to every single person who has trained with us, brought their kids to us, shared our posts, told someone about the gym or just stopped us somewhere in town and said something encouraging. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without the support of this community.

I’m proud of what we’ve built, but I’m probably even more excited about what we can build from here.

We put down roots.

This is home.

A few weeks ago we had an awesome day at Arbeau Muay Thai.

My old coach, good friend, and mentor Sokhim “The Machine” Or made the trip from Calgary to Rocky Mountain House to hold pads for Pierre, Stephen Ling, and myself.

It’s not often I get to share one of the people who helped shape my own Muay Thai journey with my five-year-old son. Watching Pierre learn from someone who taught me years ago was a pretty special moment.

A big thank you as well to Stephen Ling. Stephen is the real estate agent who helped us buy our farm here in Clearwater County, and he truly went above and beyond throughout the entire process. I’m grateful to call him a friend and training partner.

Days like these remind me how important good mentors and good people are.

Thanks again, Sokhim. Hopefully we’ll get you back up in Rocky soon.

Driven by Purpose.

Nothing says Muay Thai like showing up to work looking like you lost an argument with a vacuum cleaner.

For the record, it’s not a hickey.

Just a little clinch work with people who apparently think my neck owes them money. 😂🥊
