Traditional style horse back hunt in the heart of the Alberta Rockies

Hunt is in a wilderness area no motorized access at all!

Everyone has their own canvas tent, with wood stoves, cot, lanterns, etc

All food and meals supplied and prepared for you. No horse riding experience required all our horses are quiet gentle reliable mountain horses

-Moose average a 46” - 48" spread
-Hunt is in the peak of the moose rut!
-Hunters flying up, will want to arrive in Calgary, Alberta the day before hunt date, and depart day after hunt date.
-You will be taken to Rocky Mountain House, approx 2 hour drive, and overnight at the hotel.

Once you arrive, you purchase your licenses and leave for the trailhead the following morning!

Ride to base camp is 3.5 hours

Gene’s father Clayton started guiding and outfitting in 1958, and turned the business over to son Gene in 2004. We continue to offer highly successful traditional style horse back hunts for rifle and archery moose, mule deer and timber wolf.
