Rocky Knights Soccer Club

Hello Knight families!! We hope you all have been having a wonderful summer thus far.

In order to give ample notice we are announcing our upcoming AGM taking place on September 29th 2026 in the Subway room at the Rec Centre from 6-8:30pm. We have a few spots that we need to fill on the board as we are unfortunately saying goodbye to a few of our current members. The open positions will be the following:

-President
-Registrar
-Competitive Co-Ordinator
-U5 Co-Ordinator
-U7 Co-Ordinator
-World Cup Day Co-Ordinator

A BIG thank you for the amazing board members who have dedicated so much of their time to ensure the Rocky Knights runs smoothly and runs in general. Those leaving you will be greatly missed!

To the parents of our Knights-if you are interested in dedicating some of your time and volunteering to fill any of these positions please come to the AGM, let any of the returning board members know of your interest, reach out to us and/or comment on this post and lets fill these spots!! Without these spots being filled we cannot guarantee this club can continue and we know how much our children love to play. See you all on September 29th!! ⚽️🥅😀

Hello everyone! We have quite a bit of lost and found items in our shed. They will be out today and Thursday during grassroot times from 5-6:30. Today please grab what is yours. Thursday, grab whatever you feel your kiddo(s) can use, anything after Thursday will be donated to the next to new. Will add of some of what’s there once it’s been organized and set out!

As the 2026 soccer season starts to wind down for our Rocky Knights, there are options to continue with soccer camps in Red Deer at the Dome! Feel free to check it out! ⚽️🥅

Ok everyone! If you participated in our 50/50 draw at World Cup here is the winning number!! You must bring your ticket over to Copper Creek and hand it in to collect your winnings! Congratulations to our winner!

World Cup Day 2026 is a wrap! We were finally able to trade our rain jackets for sunscreen. This year it was a little extra special, as we got to kick off our annual World Cup Day while the Canada co-hosts the FIFA World Cup.

Here are our stats:

-All 286 Rocky Knights players, plus alumni were invited to participate

-Kickoff was at 1:00pm, and the final whistle blew at 12:15am

-72 matches were played across all age groups

U5 and U7 played with their Timbits teams, while the U9 and U11+ age groups are mixed into new teams for the day, giving them an opportunity to play with new team mates, and in the case of U11-U19, play with other age groups.

The U5s and U7s played a festival style, and finished of with their Timbits medals presentation. MVP awards were also awarded for heart, hustle and sportsmanship

The U9 House leaguers and U9 Development league players arrived at noon to learn which team they would be playing on for the day. Knight of the Game and Sportsmanship awards were given out each game.

Congrats to our U9 Medalists:

Gold: Team Luke

Silver: Team MacEwen

Bronze: Team Sinclair

Our U11s through U15s, as well as some alumni who would have been eligible for U17 or U19 this season, also arrived at noon, to be divided into teams for the day. Each team had a few players from each age group, This was a nail biter pool with a ton of close games! We saw our older players setting up plays with our younger players, and just overall great teamwork and fun! Knight of the Game and Sportsmanship awards were also given out each game in this pool. Congrats to our U11+ medal winners:

A day like this takes an entire community to orchestrate.

Another Camrose tournament is now in the books!! The Rocky Knights board hopes everyone had a ton of fun and gives you all our biggest “Great job!”. These types of tournaments are such a great way to spend time with your teammates and create unbreakable bonds, while making memories that will be thought about for years to come.

A huge congratulations to some of our club teams who were able to bring home medals this year!
