Saying goodbye to our favourite Magicien❤️
At 26 years old, this special boy had done it all. From travelling to Canada from France, doing dressage and then hunters, before truly finding his calling as one of the most patient and beloved teachers.
We feel so privileged to have had Mag as part of TRS for over 13 years. He was one of our very first school horses and truly the foundation of everything we wanted our school horses to be — talented, reliable, kind, safe and skilled. He was all of that and so much more.
We will always remember Mag as being young at heart — the extra pep in his step at horse shows, showing off his flying lead changes on that first crisp fall day, and happily hand galloping across the big grass field. He taught countless riders over the years, from being a Learn to Ride favourite to proudly carrying students to their first horse shows and helping them bring home champion ribbons. He had the kindness and patience of a true unicorn, whether he was helping with our CAMH program, teaching a nervous beginner, or getting dressed up for yet another costume class🦄
Mag, you were truly the definition of a horse worth his weight in gold and the kind of horse that simply cannot be replaced. We feel so lucky to have had so many wonderful years with you. Rest easy, old friend. You were one in a million.❤️
