HER GAME — SEFHA’s 2026 Season Kickoff gives female hockey players from U7 through U18 a unique opportunity to spend 90 minutes on the ice with Micah and then join her for Saturday’s luncheon, keynote and Q&A.

Last summer, we had the pleasure of meeting Doug Grandy during a speaker panel discussing accessibility and inclusion in female sport. It was wonderful to be part of a discussion that truly understood the importance of female sport and keeping girls involved in athletics.

Doug is also the co-founder of Rink Rebels in Fredericton — an organization dedicated to creating a space where female athletes feel like they truly belong. Through his work with Rink Rebels, Doug has helped grow the female game and create opportunities for so many young athletes.

Doug has now been nominated for the Willie O'Ree Community Hero Award for the incredible impact he has made through growing and supporting female hockey. This recognition is so well deserved.
